Branch handled reclaimed wood toolbox kits are going on a trip

I have been a busy junker. We were due for a storm, so I rushed outdoors to mow the lawn for possibly the last time this year, and even got the yard edged nice and tidy like!

It feels good to have that done now that the storm has hit, kinda like I swept the floor out there. 🙂

But aside from that, I also got a little more done…

Aren’t they smart all lined up, ready to go to new homes?

These little reclaimed wood toolboxes are going out to the recent winners of the giveaway HERE.

And I thought you may wish to take a peek at how they came together. So easy and fun to make, with no two ever identical.

The kits are super simple and don’t look like much.

But that’s the whole point. I’m hoping the recipients will work these guys to make them their own.

Each kit has 2 sides, a bottom, a front / back, and a branch handle, complete with one junky bling to inspire a little junk styled decorating.

They will need the predrilling of pilot holes, sanding, then assembling.

This one has optional sections so it’s ready to go for an organizer. I Love the dark wood / white mix!

And before you go ewww to the wood markings… best patina out there! Sand as is and you get instant depth in the wood.

This one could be an office helper, with the funky bracket with the ‘pin’ to jab loose receipts.

I love the bark that shows along the front. I’ve been saving that piece for a long time for just the right home.

I love this one with the writing on it. I would lightly sand it and not touch a thing.

That rusty hinge can be mounted and used for a biz card holder.

Don’t you just feel the itch to put those together?! I can barely stand it! 🙂

  1. congratulations you lucky winners…donna i follow because like i have said before you make the best stuff out of junk xx

  2. Congratulations to all the winners! I have to admit I didn’t enter because I have a husband who loves to woodwork and all I have to do is show him a picture, bat my eyelids and say PLEASE. Love all your ideas and already have a list a mile long for my sweetie to do.

  3. Congratulations to the winners! Donna your story inspired me and I’m sure many other of your readers. You are so creative and I love how you re-use cast off things to create useful and beautiful works of art! Reminds me that God can use us even when we are not perfect and He creates masterpieces from the brokeness of our lives!

    Happy weekend to you!

  4. Oh you lucky girls!!! Enjoy your fun gifts. Thank you Donna for being so generous. Blessings and smiles, Emilou 🙂

  5. you inspire me and get my creativity moving.. That is why I drop by for a visit and continue to receive your new letter = big Thanks for all your ideas you share..
    Hugs

  6. I follow you, because I love to see you make something out of something, but not using those somethings for what they were intended. You write so well and have great stories to tell. You include me in the process. When I get my own house, and it must come with a workshop, my wife and I will have some fun making something out of somethings, too. You have such a wonderful attitude and share what you know with others. You are probably a great friend to anyone who you let into your personal life, and I wish I were one. You are upbeat and wise, too. Reading and thinking about the things you do makes me happy and leaves me with a feeling that I, too, can accomplish what I want to do. Baby steps, right now. Thank you for having a blog!
