Welcome to Part 2 – A trip to the local industrial coffee shop. My well earned reward for all that hard work I did prior!
If you follow me on Instagram stories, you’ll have seen lots of shots of my new fav local haunt. When the old deli in town was being renovated, I had secretly hoped it would morph into a true blue coffee shop.
Because what I WAS seeing was driving me into a bit of a junk lovin’ frenzy.
Welcome to HazelSprings Organic Bakery, located in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. In the small district of Yarrow to be exact.
But as you can see, reclaimed wood and rustic, industrial ambiance is alive and well in this sweet place.
It is the PERFECT coffee shop, with homemade soup, baked from scratch cookies (that are partially done, just the way I LOVE them), organic bread, desserts, paninis, (the turkey bacon is my fav), and more.
I often bypass making lunch and dinner, and come here midday instead, to tag both meals in one sitting.
This wood wall treatment is spectacular. The planks shoot off in different directions by section. Hard to explain, until you study them.
My fav place to sit, if it’s avail, is against the wall at the little red table beside the window. The windows are so large, you feel like you’re sitting outside. Yet you get all the pretty perks of still being in.
Here we are looking towards the back.
It isn’t a huge place, but it is perfect! It is roomy, but cozy at the same time.
Look up to the right, and you’ll notice the bread baskets are inside a tilted pipe shelf too. It’s gorgeous!
The lighting fascinates me. I have a similar feel running above my kitchen windows that resembles black metal.
The glass mugs that look like enamel wear will be coming in this house soon. I’m still deciding if I want greige, aqua, or deep red.
I think a set of red for Christmas… and greige for everyday.
And aqua when I feel aqua-ish?
Don’t even give me choices…
And before you scroll on, check out that itty bitty coke machine! Isn’t it cool? I just want to pet it! It has a really neat vintage vibe.
And of course, there’s coffee. I love the dark roast. It gives you a pretty good hit.
There is also a small back room that is so very cool.
The wall planks… and the lighting… wimper…
There’s also one super private booth towards the back, that is surrounded by old doors.
Never mind. What’s this contractor’s number? (I plan to find out)
The little industrial cart is across the room from the private door booth. I just want to push that thing home whenever I pour my ice cold lemon infused water (always in a jug), while loading up my coffee with cream and sugar.
Sigh… is it any surprise why I am here a little too much?
If you ever come and visit me, you KNOW where I’ll suggest to meet up…
Another cool place to check out my way is junk filled Mission Springs Brewing Company <— take the blog post tour! You’ll love it.
And this is why I called it Part 2. I couldn’t stop taking pictures!
