Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Hi weekend partiers! Something went haywire with the scheduler… but we’re up now! Glad I checked…
No more aloha here, it’s hello once again from Canada, eh?
Our hawaiian 2016 adventures have now come to a close. We came back to GORGEOUS weather, which was a relief… transitioning from warm to cold is never a fun thing.
I fully realize I bowed out of last week’s party. We were on a new to us island (Kauai) and on the run like you wouldn’t believe. Now I know the true diff between a vacation and travelling! I’ll personally take vacay sprinkled in with a LITTLE bit of travelling any day.
I’ve been taking things slow. Paying bills, slowly unpacking,
dusting the entire house, smothering my cats… you know the drill. But I’m itchin’ to make stuff, or play around in the yard. Maybe both! It sure would be a prime time to gut the workshop for a good clean / mini revamp. Maybeeeee…..
I will write a little more about the trip as time goes on. Right now, I’m craving a little DIY and bike riding normality.
I haven’t made anything yet since home, but I did hop on the bike in search of a sunset. And found inspiration for the garden through wildflowers. It felt so good to pedal our pretty trails again!
Pick a crate… any crate. And you can have yourself this sweet, rustic styled nightstand in a heartbeat! Love the added ledge at the bottom! And then there’s those hairpin legs… swoon!
Ikea frames terrarium, by Kreativ K
I LOVE the look of a terrarium… they seem to celebrate plants all glass case like. But this one is extra cool. Collect like minded picture frames to create this cool rendition!
Blanket rack farmhouse vegetable stand, by Redo It Yourself Inspirations
We’ve all had one of those blanket racks before. But add a few wire baskets for something completely different! I could see this working in a front entry or craft room too! Super cool!
2016 Junk Garden Tour, by Organized Clutter
It’s that time… when Carlene goes junk crazy in her ENTIRE garden. This entire post is a MUST scroll. You will see why she is famous for this…
Repainted, upholstered chair, by Design, Dining and Diapers
With a combination of paint AND fabric, this once dud is now a classic! Love the two tone look! Hmmm… I say as I stare at two wing backed chairs in my living room…
Rustic potting bench, by Flower Patch Farmhouse
Building instructions are HERE
This post is the perfect example of the power of paint. But I wanted to highlight it for it’s simple, beautiful lines. I could see this piece work as a bathroom vanity, as a dresser in a bedroom, or even a laundry room helper! It’s just so versatile.
This old spool got a new life with a little creative painting! Gathering inspiration from an old round sign, this cutie is ready to party!
So, what did you make this past week?
