Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 388
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Happy junk weekend to ya!
With gorgeous weather this past week, I got my front door painted! But it didn’t stop there… it never does, does it? Branches were involved, plus a wood mat and barn wood bench. Now it looks like someone (quirky?) lives here again!
In other news, I received this AMAZING email that came at a time when I was feeling a lot of internal turmoil. The email was the exact message that has been on my heart for a very long time. This goose bump filled read may trigger something within you too…
I also really meant to post more. But I have this thing now that if I don’t get the posts done in the AM, they don’t go out. Because the bike ride adventures are getting LONGER (I’m up to 2 hours now) and they take more out of me. (yes!!!) I come home, slump on the sofa, and flick on Netflix, then I’m out like a light. Guess I’d better up the coffee intake each AM to gitter done…
Here’s what you’ve been up to from last week’s party…
DIY Three Tiered Stand – From Baking Tins by Grillo Designs (full tutorial on Remodelaholic)
3 layers of baking tin teamed with pipe never looked so good! Super cool industrial take!
Antique wire spool and barbell candle holder by Homeroad
Speaking of industrial, this barbell piece did it for me! Love the weight it would also provide. Obviously…
Junk angel assemblage, by Scavenger Chic
This post is a must visit to not only oogle over this fab junk angel, but to also view past junk angles as well. I love the mix of who knows what!
Reclaimed wood junk bracket farmhouse clock by Saturdays Vintage Finds
No numbers for a farmhouse clock? No need if you have a bunch of door hinges! Love this junky take.
Feather postcard junk mail magnetics by Dagmar’s Home
I vow to give junk mail a much more thorough look-see after this fabulous idea. Watch out for postcard weight!
Rit dyed clothespins by Lora B
Seriously?!?!? I didn’t know this was even a thing, but now that I DO know, what colour would I pick? Hmmm… aren’t they gorgeous?
It’s not what you think! This faux tile completely fooled me. Did it get you too? What a beautiful and clever idea!
This post was really all about repainting my door in a beautiful new shade of Bayberry by Fusion Mineral Paint. But then I got carried away with other things… as always.
