Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 419
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Hi all, happy party weekend!
This past week, I got deep and chatted about one of my very first ‘weird projects’ I was afraid to post about way back. This story ties into a recent magazine feature, that is a good read for anyone currently not confident in their own abilities and needs a simple little reminder that anything really is possible, no matter what YOUR special thing is.
I’ve also hopped on my bike a lot more to get out there. I’m actually into a whole balancing life kind of place, ensuring I get a little of everything that I need to keep moving forward. I’m getting there.
And as luck would have it, the sun finally came out and I even started tackling the yard! It felt good to make some outdoor improvements for a change. I’ll share that soon. I think this girl needed some vitamin D old school style.
Thanks for the therapy session. 😉 Let’s move on to some good old fashioned fab DIY to get this party started! Here are some inspiring features from last week’s party…
Pottery Barn knockoff DIY clock plates by Scavenger Chic
Distressed, numbers, vintage… gah! I just could not LOVE a plate more! This is one of the most incredible knock offs I’ve seen to date! Check out this post for many other clock faced designs!
Pastel spring buffalo checked mason jars by Fresh Vintage By Lisas
Just in case the black and white buff check wasn’t enough shown in a previous feature, here’s a few pastel versions for ya!
Aren’t they stunning?! How would you use them?
Faux spring or summer flower garland by Salvage Sister and Mister
How genius is this beautiful flower garland idea? And really, any faux flower would do! I’d love to see a garland made from faux succulents now! Brain storming…
Repurposed vintage bucket planter on a ladder plant stand by Lora B
So… this post is about that scrumptious bucket turned planter. However I LOVED this entire corner. So much vintage goodness all at once! Beautiful, inspiring setting.
Take your time with this one and take in every little feature. Like that delightful fabric inside the door panels… plus.
Farmhouse milk can patio side table by Knick of Time
Now I’m questioning why I got rid of my garden milk can. Why didn’t I think of this?! Love how the wood top marries the rust to create the perfect outdoor antique side table, perfect for my own morning coffee, thanks.
Spindle easter carrots by H2O Bungalow
A spindle could just not get more ADORABLE. Happy spring indeed!
DIY wood doormat in spring colours by H2O Bungalow
This wood mat is all kinds of perfection. So bright and cheerful, and easy to hose off! Love how you could personalize it. It would also make pretty cute placemats or a table runner! Hmm…

Thx for hosting hon. Here in San Francisco this week was all wet and cold 🙁 we can’t wait for the sun to shine
Hi Donna and thank you so very much for featuring both of my projects this week! I love the bed spindle carrots too and they are so easy to make. The doormat is one of my all-time favorite projects, they hold up incredibly well. Hope your readers enjoy them as much as I do! Thanks again!
OMG those Mason Jars are amazing!!! 🙂
Such fun, Springy features! Love those spindle carrots-totally unique! Thanks for featuring my ladder corner of buckets! And thanks for hosting!
i have had a beautiful plate clock hanging in my kitchen for several years and it has moved into our new to us home and is in this kitchen also.
Nice to see another one today!!
Thank you Donna for another awesome party. Love the door mat and the spindle carrots. I actually made spindle carrots last year. I use a copper teapot my father in law made for the Easter basket with the carrots in it.
Thanks for the party, Donna 🙂
