DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 566
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
This past week has been primarily devoted to designing! I told myself I cannot rip up any more carpet or paint any more cement floors white until I launch new stencils. Hrmph! That boss of mine knows how to kick me in the right direction though, yes?
I sure wish I had a magical way to get more work out of me though. I seem to be slowing down so maybe that just means I need a (stay at home) vacay… but I also want to do more home renos so I’d better keep pressing on so I can eventually vacay in more of a renovated home!
But I HAVE been thoroughly enjoying shooting in the new and improved photo studio… and even managed to get a post up on a new update!
It’s looking mighty light and bright in this room, especially with the new addition of some cotton sheet curtains! I made some improvements over functionality from the last ones. So if you’d like to keep a room light and airy while diffusing some sunshine, maybe sheets are all you need too! I LOVE them!
I’m just glad I get to fill my ‘creative bucket’ by glancing at your own projects! Check out these wonderful upcycled project features from last week’s party… they are so cool!

This delightful rusty looking boat with a fab map sail is my kinda sailing! Aren’t the patinas fabulous?! My goodness… an avocado?! Only Michelle…
You’ve seen beaded garlands before, but this is my first beaded wreath with a gorgeous spring vibe! It has such a calm about it don’t you think? Love the added message too! That’s some fine hand lettering there, Susan…
Challenged to cast something in concrete, Sara grabbed a wrapper which ultimately became a concrete lightbulb planter! Now this is hands down the coolest looking air plant I ever did see! Amazing creativity right here.
This very hip and updated globe makes you wonder why they don’t paint them these beautiful neutral and very today tones to begin with! Nicely done Deb! Now go to her post and check out the Disney themed version… it’s adorable! Time for a new line launch here…
Is this gorgeous vase fooling you too? Well, it’s not the real deal but knowing this little trick, the possibilities to get this look on anything desired is officially endless! Wow.
This St. Patrick’s Day project takes candy jar to a whole new level, does it not?! This is positively adorable!
