PJ 310 features DIY Christmas Trees!
Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Hello, and welcome back to another sure to be festive junk gathering!
Well, I’m pretty pleased with myself for making a couple things this week. And one of them being my reclaimed wood Christmas tree. So… why not theme this weekend’s linkup around it?
This weekend there are two linkups below. And as always, I’ll be gathering features from both for Facebook features all weekend long!
First up, let’s see what DIY Christmas trees you’ve been making…
Licence plate Christmas tree, by A Piece of Rainbow
Ananda sure knows how to reach my junk lovin’ sign fanatic heart. This idea is golden! Or… rusty?
Reclaimed rusty hardware Christmas tree by Petticoat Junktion
Thank-you for this cool creation, Kathy. I officially have my rust door pull fix now! Why does this stuff look like irresistible candy to me?
Scrap wood Christmas trees, from Refresh Living
Yet another reason to hoard your scrap wood. These wood trees are adorable, Jenny!
Christmas trees from junky lamp parts, by My Salvaged Treasures (no longer online)
Ohhhh Betsy, I may have to put my chippy wood aside, and turn a little more blingy myself. Aren’t these the most gorgeous lamp parts turned Christmas trees you’ve ever seen?
Roasting pan Christmas tree, by The Boondocks Blog
Mary, now this is my kinda cooking! Dumpling presents too! What a charming base for a tree!
Chalkboard and pom poms Christmas tree, by Miss Mustard Seed (no longer online)
Leave it to Marian to create an irresistible pom pom garland for a simple chalkboard tree. I want a chalkboard just to draw a tree now! Part of her amazing HGTV series.
Spindle Christmas tree from an old chair, by Thistlewood Farms
This gorgeous thing is a rescued chair.
Can you imagine KariAnne in a lifeguard chair, overseeing a sea filled with junk? She’s on her tip toes, hand over her brow, shading her face from the sun, while sporting thrifted aprons, spun into the most charming of swim suit wraps I’m sure.
WAIT… THERE IT IS! Then she DASHES off with her broken inner-tube because she crafted it into water skis and a speedboat, to fill it up with more broken… anything.
I think I need to tell my junk yard to grow a palm tree or two. I love this fantasy!
KariAnne is a master storyteller, so I felt I needed to spin a tale for her for a change.
A tree shaped tray, by Unskinny Boppy (no longer online)
This tray is too cute for words. Thanks for today’s perfect green patina on metal fix, Beth! I’ll take an 8 foot one please.
DIY Christmas tree shelf, by That’s My Letter
Created from an Ana White plan, this adorable Christmas tree shaped shelf by Jaime is sooooo festively gorgeous! I want a forest of them!
Mason jar rim Christmas tree wreath / funky junk interiors
This is the easiest tree to make in the land!
Canning jar rim tree with greenery and a star wreath, by Homeroad
Here is Susan’s version without the ornaments! I just love the large wisps of greens and the sharp red!
Snow scene in a crate, featuring Craftberry Bush’s artwork, by Funky Junk Interiors
Craftberry Bush’s gorgeous artwork makes this little snow scene in a crate, complete with flickering firepit, come to life! Full details of the art and project in the blog post.
Little string tied twig tree by Funky Junk Interiors
This cute, quick idea is another take on the twig garlands I’ve made the past couple of years. So fun to make!
Reclaimed wood Christmas tree and star, by Funky Junk Interiors
Thanks to a little fence wood, this project made my home much less Scrooge like outdoors! It’s about time…
