Happy winter! Has your weather reflected on the upcoming Christmas season yet?
As luck would have it, we were due to get a pretty sizeable snow dump in a matter of a couple of days. So I dashed outdoors, did some fall cleanup and decorated my little rustic shed for Christmas.
And then this happened…
How magical is this?! This is the first time I’ve purposely decorated the shed for Christmas, timed with a snowfall. SO glad I made the effort, because it turned into a neat post, along with tips on how I decorate the shed for any given season.
In other news, my son and I chopped down our real Christmas tree, which was promptly decorated the very next day. Now I need to dream up a new tree skirt… but I admit I pulled out the tree skirt I used last year that resembles a sleigh.
But my gut says I should try something new even though it would work! So I best get on it so I can share this next week! I also picked up baking ingredients so I hope to blog about one of my very favorite cookies which I have yet to share.
My home is so far from being decked out, so I’m just going to convince myself if I’m still moving forward with something, it’s all good! Right?! Right!
So let’s now visit some pretty fab features that make me want to create even MORE (oh dear) thanks to last week’s party…

DIY vintage telephone charging station
If the price of real antique telephones have made you pause at getting one, here’s a tutorial that shares how to make one… that’s also so much more productive as a charging station! Oh goodness, this is so unbelievably cool! Made you look twice, didn’t it?
Stacked wooden canisters Christmas makeover
Some Goodwill wooden canisters got a very festive makeover, thanks to cleverly placed stencil images of stars and Christmas lights. They could even be used as gift wrap or to store goodies! Wait until you see the before… these are so clever!
Cardboard gingerbread house gift wrap
Hang onto those paper toned bags and boxes… because here’s how you can so very easily transform them into gingerbread wrap! Oh my gosh… Kinda makes you wonder why you didn’t think of that, doesn’t it? DARLING DIY gift wrap!
Decoupage napkin Christmas ornaments
I cannot even begin to explain how cool this ornament tutorial is that mimics china plates… When you see all the other photos, you will gasp!
