This past week I’ve been finishing up Christmas projects, and am now, one-by-one getting them onto the blog. Finally! And here’s the latest which turned into so much more than I had imagined it would… along with an unexpected confidence booster too!
Upcycle Christmas tree sign with precious hand painted details
How to draw a Christmas tree with stencils and hand painted detailing
I would have never really labeled myself as a hand painter, until I tried hand painting details on this Christmas Tree sign. All I can say is WOW. The attention to detail turned this stenciled art into a handmade piece that feels vintage! This is a great way to try your hand at hand painting. Just remember, if you mess up, paint over it and try again. There’s nothing to lose! Come and see for yourself!
And stay tuned, much more is coming!
So until then, let’s get super inspired with these fabulous upcycled features from last week’s party… you just wait!

Whimsical faux wood fairy house garden door scene
Fairy garden door by A Crafty Mix
Along my own trails I bike, you’ll spot the odd fairy door thoughtfully placed at the base of a towering tree. Seriously though, this tutorial is a must-visit to take in every single little detail on this enchanting fairy house project!

Thank you so much for including my clay pot bells and wreath in your feature this week, Miss Donna! i’ve had so much fun coming up with new ways to use terra cotta pots for this theme… it’s always nice when someone else likes what I’ve created <3
And I've just gotta' say that one glimpse of Michelle and Shawn's charming fairy house creation made my Disney obsession kick in – it really reminds me of the tiny house of 'The Little Man of Disneyland' whose abode is tucked under a tree root in Disneyland's Adventureland (right by the entrance to Indiana Jones Adventure). If you've never heard of it, there's a Little Golden Book for children that tells the whole story!
