Greetings!
This past week I got my Christmas tree up! It’s not quite done yet, but we are nearly there and it’ll have a new look that’s super quirky in all the right ways!
I’ve also just shared a new post that went up on Friday… that actually has two parts!
How to make chippy wood, then easy wood Christmas trees
Make DIY chippy wood AND snowy wood Christmas trees HERE – Part 1
Wish you had some fab white chippy wood to get a snowy effect on your projects? Wish no more. I’m finally sharing in a guest post over at Homestead House on how to achieve an authentic, chippy white look from scratch, then flipping them into easy and adorable winter or wood Christmas trees!
This is a great technique to learn, since you can layer colours, achieve different effects, and more!
Pallet crate decorated Christmas trees from scrap wood
How to create pallet-style Christmas trees with crate skirts HERE – Part 2
And part 2 is how to flip said wood Christmas trees and style them with pallet crate Christmas tree skirts! This turned out so cool, I even whipped up a new stencil HERE to get the look of this project easily! Come and see all the styling ideas… the crate hung from a wall with added fairy lights is pretty cute too!
I’m also working on getting another unique Christmas idea up on the blog next week, which entails a real branch and faux garland greenery… stay tuned, it’s a fun one!
So for today, let’s get super inspired with these fabulous upcycled features from last week’s party… you just wait!
