Happy weekend!
This past week I finally shared a furniture makeover I’ve been working on for quite some time!
Antique sideboard bathroom vanity makeover
Beginner-friendly furniture refinishing of an antique sideboard bathroom vanity
I’ve always loved the look of a furniture turned bathroom vanity, so when this beauty landed in my lap for FREE no less, I had to act on it!
This ended up being a piece requiring patience. When a good tap set wasn’t in the budget, I took my time with each step, which actually allowed the layers to cure thoroughly, which I believe helped the piece to become the success it was! The finish is phenomenal, which I share in the post, including a separate video so you can see how I hand paint with no brush strokes in sight. Plus, I’m sharing a fabulous new-to-me product that protects raw wood without changing its tone!
I’ve also started a new flower bed feature in the yard, so I’m hoping to get it pretty enough to share next week. It involves a rusty bike!
So until there’s more to see, let’s get this party started! Here’s this week’s upcycled project features from last week’s upcycled link party…

Scrap wood mandala stencil clock
Raised Mandala stencil clock by A Crafty Mix
Desire a pretty clock someplace? Here’s how to make one with scrap wood and a raised mandala stencil! This is such a good idea and quite simple to do!
Stacked wooden bowls organizer
2-tier wooden bowls by Little Vintage Cottage
Next time you spot a few wooden bowls at the thrift, imagine them becoming 2-tiers! Plus they can be painted any way you wish! This makes such a great organizer or upscaled serving dish for most anything!
Bud vase from a spice jar
Spice jar bud vase by Homeward Found Decor
I do believe this is the most genius way to use an empty spice jar… leave the top intact to create the perfect bud vase with its own built-in flower frog! Plus… coordinating the jar labels to the buds? Great designer move! This is lovely!
Ric-Rac lamp makeover
Upcycled amp with Ric-Rac by Creatively Beth
Who knew simple ric-rac had the ability to create such a stunning lampshade makeover? What a fun graphic punch! And it’s so easy to do!
Laundry hamper to Fireplace Caddy by Studio 27 – By Jennifer Adams
Next time you pass by an old well-made hamper, consider it for a chic fireplace caddy to store firewood! LOVE that the front is a mix of natural cane and paint. Pretty and so practical!

Thank you so much for including my spice jar bud vase in your feature, Donna!
Sometimes DIY projects are so simple – but the impact is HUGE! (I love it when that happens!)
Your sink cabinet makeover is SO FANTASTIC! I know you put a lot of work into it – and it shows! I can’t wait to see it IN the powder room, too. That project needs to be featured in a magazine, darling 😉
Thanks for featuring my two-tier bowls in this week’s lineup! Your vanity is beautiful. I also love a dresser used as a vanity and had one in my last house!
