Welcome to Funky Junk’s Party Junk, a multi themed DIY link party!

*Theme of the Week

Every Friday, 7pm thru Sunday, 11pm Pacific

Hey, thought it would be fitting to jazz up the name/logo of the link party to go with the new digs! Please continue to excuse some non functioning links and unfinished nav bar… all coming soon! Thanks for the kind kudos on the new blog look!

And… I know the party is early today. I won’t be around later and wanted to be sure I had a handle on getting the linkup widgets to work on the new blog. Back to usual time next week!

This weekend it’s about yardsticks! I adore the extra detail these little wooden guys offer any DIY project. Kinda like stamped graphics without having to do the work!

If’ you’ve been watching this amazing contest, you’ll already know that Thistlewood Farms won first place with her amazing yardstick bicycle clock. To DIE for! The only problem I see here is that clock and wall and desk and chairs and trunk and red stuff are not in my house!

Have you seen Gadget Sponge’s amazing projects? I’m a BIG fan! This yardstick and block framed mirror is just so cool… a neat funky detail that offers a mirror a little vintage character.

I still think yardsticks make the coolest stair risers ever! 🙂

  7. I’ve been dreaming of yardstick projects for the past year … some day I will stumble across a giant pile of old yardsticks that will cost me next to nothing and then I will use them to create something magical … hey, a girl can dream, right?

  10. Thank you for hosting an amazing party! Love your new look! You’ll love WP. I did a lot of homework before starting my blog…and noticed a lot of blogs were doing the switch over. (So, I thought I’d dig right in and begin with WP! I love it!)

  11. I had trouble viewing this post in Safari, so I switched to Google Chrome. Now I can see all the links and comment.

  12. I love your website and how you use everything under the sun! I do wonder where you found so many yardsticks? Did you run across them at a flea market or yard sale? I told my Mom (age 82) about your great use of things and she rose the question about the yardsticks.

Keep posting the great ideas, and the links are wonderful, too.
