Summer is in the air, and it’s time to be dashing off to beaches and taking in new fav summer adventures here and there. With that in mind, why not share your own summer adventures so we know what’s great to see if we’re ever in your area?

My favourite summer adventures…

Let's go junkin at The Back Porch! A junk shopping tour in Harrison Hot Springs, BC Canada via Funky Junk Interiors

The Back Porch in Harrison Hot Springs, BC Canada – click HERE

I love this place. So much so I claim I will live there one day. It’s one of those places that feel like home as soon as you walk on the property.

The place is loaded with roasted coffee, pottery, hand woven baskets, and JUNK.

JUNK Shopping Tour - to Granny and Grumpa's Antiques - barns and BARNS of junk! via Funky Junk Interiors

And then there’s swoonworthy Granny and Grumpa’s. If you’re ever visiting between Abbotsford and Chilliwack in BC Canada, this place is a MUST stop.

Grumpa has been collecting all his life and has BARNS filled with the coolest stuff you ever did see. It’s all neatly organized and he knows everything he has. It’s really like shopping in a museum.

World's Longest Yard Sale - a 10 part series on taking in this incredible junkfest through 6 states, via Funky Junk Interiors

And this isn’t close to MY home, but if it’s near yours, you need to check out The World’s Longest Yardsale on route 127.

GMC sent bloggers out on a mission last year to collect for Habitat for Humanity. It was a fabulous adventure for a good cause. But lemme tell ya, Americans know how to collect! The route last year was through 6 states. Most amazing road trip EVER!

This is a 10 part series from my own experience. And it was wild!

Do you have any favorite adventures you’ve been on that are worth sharing?

Link them up in this weekend’s 3rd themed linkup!

  1. Love the store you featured – thanks for hosting. The kitties are quite interesting (from your post the other day!) I think they have captured your heart.

  2. wow you have some good junk up there!! Hope you didn’t bake until fried like the rest of us south of you in the West! Checking out more summer adventures, great link party idea!

  3. I went on the World’s Longest Yard Sale a few years ago and had a blast! Thanks goodness we had a cooler full of water because it was HOT! But, totally worth it. I hope to go again this year. There’s another long yard sale here in Georgia (not as long as the 127) called Peaches To Beaches that I hope to go on next Spring.
Thanks for hosting the party! Have a wonderful weekend.

  4. Hi Donna – So much fun to read about your junking adventures in B.C. We travel up there from Washington State all of the time. Do you live in that area? If so, are there any Pacific Northwest blogging conferences that you are aware of? I’ve been blogging for one year now and I’m ready to learn more!

Thank you for always offering us such great inspiration. Your blog is one of my top favs!

    Blessings to you,
    Patti@OldThingsNew

  5. Hi Donna, I’ve had a great few weeks working on my yard, doing needed maintenance and just enjoying working outside on ‘stuff’. Thanks for hosting. Nice trailer repair on that door.
