Happy New Year, everyone! And what a year it’s been! Now that the party dust has settled, I’m sure you’re about to fire up some sawdust for new projects. But let’s finish the year off with a big bang with your 2013’s best!

Here are a few that caught my eye…

Ford tailgate themed boy's bathroom makeover via Unskinny Boppy
Ford Tailgate Boy’s Bathroom – Unskinny Boppy’s Best of 2013

Beth’s childhood contained many Ford memories growing up. So when her husband landed this amazing Ford tailgate at a consignment store, it was a given to use as the star of the show in this boy’s bathroom!

Rustic NOEL sign via Organized Clutter

Reclaimed wood NOEL sign –  Organized Clutter’s Best of Holiday Decorating 2013

Carlene created this cool sign by painting thrift store found wooden letters and attaching them to some reclaimed wood. What I adore about this project is that this could say ANYTHING for any time of year. Total win!

Carlene has several Best Of roundups you can spot on her blog. This is one of many.

Faux stone walkway via Bliss Ranch
Faux Stone Walkway – Bliss Ranch’s Best of 2013 Roundup

When Bliss’ walkway needed replacing, her husband created a hand troweled rock walkway instead… for about $40! Outstanding project and comes with a detailed tutorial. This post is a must visit.

Pallet wood outdoor chair via
2 pallet wood chair – Funky Junk Interiors’ Best of 2013

Desiring a companion for pallet sofa #1, I wanted an easier way this round. So using two full pallets, I came up with this one in about 2 hours time. And no banging pallets apart! This is most definitely my #1 2013 project, being pinned over 218k times! Glad I went easy this round! 🙂

  1. Happy New Year Donna. Thinking about finding another use for my aprox 1973 apprentice made Carpenters Tool Box (way back when I was that apprentice) – taking another look at the one you repurposed for your tv remotes and game controllers etc. Thanks for hosting Party Junk this year. Have a great week.

  2. Happy New Year Donna. Loved Party Junk all year. Learned some life stuff from you this year. Removed 1 piece from my living room (a small table) and already liking the more open look. Inched furniture around a bit, thinned out the ‘stuff’ somewhat too. Have a great week Donna.

  3. Thank you for still hosting this party this year. I’ve found new blogs to follow and lots of inspiration. I absolutely love what you create, and can’t wait to see what you dream up in 2014! Have a Happy New Year!

  4. Happy New Year Donna!! For my “Best of 2013” post I did a round up of some ways to organize with junk from last year at my house. Ready to get going for 2014!! Have a great weekend…thanks for hosting 🙂 Laurel

  5. I’m gonna have to tell my daughter her feet are famous! Thank you for including the stone walkway (although I see I used a photo without a water mark, I’ll slap my forehead).

Happy New Year Donna. You inspire my family at every turn.

  6. Happy 2014! I am one of those annoying party guests today. I linked by 2013/2014 posts in the wrong place, then linked them again in the round up. Ugh. That’s what I get for being in a hurry to look at everyone’s thumbnails, your best of, etc. Happy New Year!
