Welcome to Party Junk 272 – an upcycled link party

Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific

Happy upcycled weekend, everyone!

I admit, I have not posted much this week. Spring break is in full swing, and when the opportunity to hit the movie theatre or go shopping with my son appeared, out the door we went. As it should be, right?! 🙂 We took in Cinderella… oh my… it’s such a must see!

I also revealed my upcycled dollhouse, complete with handmade furniture. That was a BIG project that needed lots of clean up. So I’ve been getting organized for my next project, whatever that many be. Do you leave a path of destruction behind you too after creating? Yikes!

So… let’s party! Here are a few favs from last weekend’s Upcycled Ladder themed link party…

My eyes DANCED when I first saw these adorable fish. We can ALL pretend to have a beach house with these colourful friends adorning our walls! How about even adding hooks for things? Love this!

As if a shock of aqua wasn’t enough, this ladder is lookin’ stylish and workin’ it hard as a pot rack in this kitchen. I want one!

I love this project because it goes to show, anything that can hang something can be mounted to a board for a new use. Love the chippy background!

Isn’t this variation of a headboard turned bench gorgeous? The colour marries the shape perfectly!

And I have to give a nod on my own project this week. I was challenged to create a dollhouse from a bookshelf. But I took it 20 million steps further and ended up creating all the furniture from upcycled finds and scrap wood. This was a BLAST!

  1. Love the Barbies in their new home. Great imagination plus use of layers and layers of skills. Fun too. Thanks for PJ 272 Donna, love joining in. Looking forward to your presentation at the Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market May 30th in MR – local for me, win/win.

  2. thank you donna for the party!!
LOVE your doll house and those fish!! i aways wanted wood fish on our walls, they are just the perfect blend of be achy and primitive beauty!! <3

  3. So glad you are enjoying Spring Break! So nice to be home and open to whatever inspires you 🙂 I still haven’t shared your super cool doll house with my daughter…today! We have Barbies everywhere most of the time. It’s got me thinking about some more storage ideas…thanks!! Thanks for hosting 🙂 Laurel

  4. Thank you so much for the feature. Love the doll house. With three boys in the family we were all about the legos and computer games. I would have loved the chance to (help) decorate a doll house. Putting hooks on the fish is a great idea. Why didn’t I think of that?
