Welcome to Party Junk 282 – an upcycled link party

Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific

Hey fellow junkers! Welcome back to the party!

I think I’m still recuperating from the market. With no deadlines ahead, it feels like this wide open road before me with dozens of forks. I think it’s time to create a DIY Jar for myself so I can shoot towards some kind of direction! Mulling over working in the garden… whatever it ends up being, you’ll be the first to know. 🙂

Anyway, it’s time to catch up! As promised, here’s a few outstanding favs from the last two parties…

Claire had these certain locations on maps that had some significance to her, so she decided to utilize them into chairs.

These are BEAUTIFUL! And how cool is it that they have long term meaning?

Joan had these shells buried for 14 years from a past memorable vacation. She finally allowed them and their memories to shine with this super cool shell covered lamp! Click to see it lit up, it’s really cool! And perfectly themed for summer!

Betsy’s plan A was to cover this old workbench with yardsticks. Am I ever glad she didn’t have enough, because this cutie was made for that coffee stencil! This one’s begging for a pod coffee maker, don’t you think?

Larissa had long desired to land a good priced sewing machine base. Well, for a lowly $50, not only did she get it, she transformed it into a stunning side table, teamed up with a gorgeous reclaimed solid wood top she created herself.

This entire space is gorgeous… who else now has a need to go bring in more reclaimed wood from outside?

Carole claims to not be a junker, but more a clean it up and out kinda person. But am I ever glad she broke that rule… a few stumps and rusty junk later, her yard had a beautiful new focal point! Isn’t this cool?

Angie collects sheet music, and was inspired to create something easy with just a few sheets. These laminated placemats are genius!

And now a question for you… will you be creating stuff right through the summer where you’d utilize this party? Or can you see giving it a rest until September? Lemme know your thoughts! And any other suggestions you may have. I’d love to shake things up some!

  1. Hi Donna, I always work on Upcycled projects over the summer. Easier to fix/glue/paint when the weather is good. Thanks for PJ 282. Loved meeting you at the Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market – great junk, love your stencilled boards (and LOVE your stencils).

  2. Oh Donna, summer is when I’m most productive! You wouldn’t believe the haul of junk I made from the curbs today. I actually thought of you at one huge pile of old rusty stuff! Hmmmm…. WWDD (What Would Donna Do). I would be sad to see the party take a break, but I would also understand if you needed to take one!

  3. Fabulous junk! Thank you so much for featuring my repurposed workbench aka coffee station. Love the stencil! I never stop making junk and I’d miss the party, but if you took a break I’d be right back here once you open the doors again.

  4. Thank you so much for hosting! I look forward to this every week! With all the garage sales and flea markets in our area over the summer, I plan on creating even more through the summer! If the party took a break, I’d completely understand, but I’d definitely be waiting in line for it to start back up again in the fall! 🙂
