Welcome to Party Junk 289 – an upcycled link party
Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Hello everyone, and welcome back to another fabulous roundup of funky junk by you!
We’re now edging into our 4th week in Maui. And while we haven’t exactly sprinted to all four corners of the island as yet, we’ve had some WOW fun visiting one of North America’s largest banyan tree. In a pefect world, we’d do a short sprint to another island, but the cost isn’t jiving with the experience, since we are in such a nice spot already. Any suggestions on that one?
I’m also showcasing short bursts on my Instagram account HERE. Things we’re eating, flowers we’re enjoying, special moments needing capturing, etc.
And are you on Periscope yet? It’s a newish app for your smart phone where you can do live broadcasts that stay active for only 24 hours, so I’ve done some video too! Download it, and find me as Funky Junk Interiors to catch some newer ones! p.s. I’ve DIYed two things while on vacay too, coming soon!

On with your junk!
Upcycled crate table, by Denise on a Whim
Denise is my kinda builder. I love it when a plan from nothing to something comes together, with a little reclaimed wood! Visit this post to see what else this does…
How to improvise your own old sign designs with stencils, by A Vintage Green
My stencils didn’t have all the letters she desired, so Joy fabricated her own. This post also shows a few other mix and match variations. Just goes to prove, the more you have, the more you can make! Love your ever growing collection, Joy!
Chair ladderback scarf rack, by Sadie Seasongoods
Sarah landed this fabulous chair from a dumpster. Teaming it up with vintage cutlery, this coolness resulted! What would you use this for?
Rusty junk art assemblage by Vintage with Laces
Julia is a MASTER at taking junk and turning them into art pieces. I am adoring all the layers on this one. Click through to see her stunning post.
Handmade cutting board, by Knick of Time
So how does one make an authentic antique cutting board themselves? Angie shows you what she went through to claim this beauty… and it involves bugs and grease… well worth it with an outcome like this!
Rustic front porch, by The Summery Umbrella
Love rustic style? Then this charming porch tour by Lz is right up your alley…. I love every single piece!
From mini trunk to coffee table, by Funky Junk Interiors
Hey, even I made something and had it scheduled for this week. I knew exactly what this little trunk was destined for the moment I laid eyes on it…click through to see what it became.
