Welcome to Party Junk 228 – Salvaged Tool Boxes
Every Friday, 7PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
My passion for salvaged tool boxes grows deep! They are incredibly versatile for any season, and so easy (and cheap) to make! Here are a few of my favs…
Jute storage in a craft room via Unskinny Boppy
Beth not only organizes her craft room, she makes it beautiful with this adorable dedicated twine and jute caddy styled toolbox. Want!
Vintage industrial farmhouse tool storage via Breida with a B
Breida throws caution to the wind and organizes her tools INSIDE the house. Now that’s not only genius, it’s gorgeous too!
Toolbox Business Card Holder via Funky Junk Interiors
Hosting a talk on all things toolboxes at an event, my cards needed their own little toolbox for the road too! How perfect is this mini toolbox with sections?
Toolbox charging station via Funky Junk Interiors
Your electronics can charge vintage style inside a rusty ol’ metal toolbox in the kitchen. The added tray is such a hidden paperwork storage bonus!
Toolbox side table via Funky Junk Interiors
A large toolbox on wheels becomes a side table loaded with hidden storage… for all those remotes! YES! Problem finally solved.
Toolbox presents via Funky Junk Interiors
Stacked toolboxes indeed can become presents. They’d still be a present to me without all the fancy wrap! Isn’t that rusty brown one delicious?
Using a toolbox in a unique way?

When you find / acquire something new-to-you, do you clean it at all before you put it to use?
I started reading your blog some time back when I started researching how to build things with pallets, and your tutorial on how to find safe wood came up. Thanks for that!!
Hi Kathy! Hot soapy water is generally enough to wash most anything. Some wood pieces I may lightly sand instead. It really all depends on what is found. For metal toolboxes you may even need a degreaser. Any rust you can’t remove or don’t wish to, a matte sealer of some sort is also a good idea.
Great focus! I just posted this morning about using a toolbox as book display in our boys bedroom. Thanks so much for hosting Donna – have a great weekend!
Love seeing all the cool tool boxes, Donna! Thanks so much for hosting!

You inspire me so much. I wish we weren’t so far apart because I’d love to meet you. My hubs and I are funky junky people also. I pin so much from you website, or just save pictures and am constantly showing my non-techy hubs. Thanks for hosting and for being a huge inspiration to me. You on my bucket list of people I want to meet.
