Creative dressers are not the norm. When you buy a dresser in a store, they’re generally styled in one colour with like minded drawers.
So what do you get when you cross an artist…
Here’s a sampling of creative dressers that go a step WAY beyond just painting it out!
We had to head this one off with the all time queen of dresser decorating. Miss Mustard Seed is well known for her two toned dresser makeovers and hand painted elements and with this number, she does not disappoint!
The Cozy Old Farmhouse
Gut or build a dresser frame to allow for soda crates instead of drawers?! Yes please!
Bliss Ranch
When a young boy needs a room makeover, it’s only fitting that his dresser gets decked out as well. The screen panels inside the drawers and all the added doo dads theme the dresser up in a very creative way!
I adore this take on a subway styled dresser. The dusty blue with the off white lettering is a really nice switch from black and white!
This dresser goes rustic with paint on the drawers and rope for the pulls. What a cool look in a very beautiful room!
Dear stores, I think we’re onto something… don’t you? 🙂
Do you have a dresser you’ve done more to than simply paint? Link it up in this weekend’s 3rd themed linkup!

Thanks so much for hosting! You have the best party around!
I’m back! I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve visited you! My husband knew who you were because I’d sit there on Friday nites, waiting til 7 p.m., telling him, I gotta get in the Top 10 on Donna’s party! He didn’t understand but, yet, it didn’t matter.
I know, I know – everything I do or write nowadays has some reference to him. I’m trying to get past that. But obvs I’m not there yet. Anyhoo, so glad to be back! I searched and searched for a dresser but I’ve really only painted one and the post was more about the wall mural, not the dresser. Me & furniture? Well, we have a rather dysfunctional relationship. I stick with walls & canvas, thank you.
Have a great weekend, Sweetie!
Hi Donna! All those dressers are amazing. Thanks for hosting!
These featured dressers are so inspiring. Thanks as always for hosting and have a wonderful weekend Donna.
I have seen most of those amazing dressers, but I have not seen the Cozy Farmhouse one!!! How cool is that one???!!! What I love is all the “crap” knockoffs that are showing up in Target, TJ Maxx and Home Goods looking like stuff pulled right from the blogosphere!! And yes, I have seen plenty of palletty looking junk, thank you very much Miss Donna, you ARE a trendsetter!

Hi Donna!
I just added my wallpapered dresser. There are some really beautiful links!! On another note, your finished rooms party really inspired me. I joined a while ago with my kitchen but for several days afterward I was bugged that I had declared it “done.” I KNEW it was missing something. So, tomorrow I am finally posting on my striped ceiling which took it from done to DONE. And I have you to thank because I joined your party and declared it done. It makes no sense because I know the whole point was for it to be finished but oh well – I was inspired, anyhow.
Thanks!! 🙂
Thanks so much for hosting, Donna! This is my first time linking up and I’m sad I didn’t find you sooner! Hope you had a great weekend! 🙂
I love the dressers your featured – especially that first one – gorgeous!
