Why Upcycled Old Crate Projects
Being that my newest build this week was all about a lowly little crate, I was hugely reminded how valuable these guys are.
Upcycled crates are one of my alltime fav things to decorate with. They are like these little premade boxes you often get for free, and the uses are limitless!

Donna I bought a soda crate in Virginia when we were on vacation. I was going to use it in my craft room (if it is ever finished) but now I think I will use it to store my scarfs. Thanks for the ideas and please post more pictures of the kitties. Thanks.
well how nice that you are back. this is the third newsletter/blog that suddenly stopped appearing in my email and now just as suddenly after a very extended period of time here you are.
Thanks for hosting Donna!! Love the crates!
Hey Donna,
I’m a lover of crates too and have been collecting several for a couple o years….gearing up for their use in my office area. I’ve been thinking on whether to leave them all natural or “coat” them with something….wax…oil…I don’t now really. I’m not really sure I want to do this but I know that I have one crate already in use in my bathroom that has a matt sheen to it….and it is pleasing to me so that is why I’m thinking of doing it with the others. I don’t really want to change the color on them much…just rather bring out a bit of richness…does that make sense? I was just wondering if you have any suggestions on the matter?
Thanks so much,
Laurie
