Welcome to Party Junk 261 – an upcycled link party

Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific

Happy Friday once again!

So, as most of you know, I’m in the midst of this big purging spree thing. I shocked a few with my painting studio, going from ‘garbage can special’ to ‘heavenly white’, but know, it doesn’t look like that today already. When you move in, it can be as messy as moving out! πŸ™‚

Anyway, still gathering cool and quirky ideas, so I went hunting at last weekend’s party for some, and check out what I found!

New old office interior door with a sign / The Pink Tumbleweed
New – old office door / The Pink Tumbleweed

Alison has the right idea. If you wish to add true vintage character to a home, why not change out the doors? This one is a beauty! And the lettering touch is perfection.

Farmhouse styled ceiling fan / One More Time Events
Farmhouse styled fan / One More Time Events

A fan is just a fan… until you add chicken wire cages, distressed blades, and paint it chalkboard black. Now THIS is a fan I’d be happy to have in any room! Nice industrial edge to it.

DIY Faux Enamel Ware Compost Bin / Homework
Make your own enamelwear / Homework

I have always loved enamelwear, but was TOTALLY thrown that this is faux! The before was some crafty looking bucket that you’d totally overlook at any thrift store. This technique is super easy to do! I’ll be trying it for sure.

Piano keyboard table / Repurposed For Life
Piano keyboard table / Repurposed For Life

While everyone’s getting rid of pianos they no longer desire, Lyn made a gorgeous glass topped table out of hers! It didn’t start out as a glossy baby grand though, check out the before! Stunning transformation.

Toolbox craft paint storage / Funky Junk Interiors

Now, this project isn’t exactly genius, however it did raise some eyebrows for the curious. I was asked why I turned my craft paints upside down in a toolbox. One reason is for ease of finding the colour you want, but there are other reasons too. Click the link to read more and see more repurposed ideas!
