Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 397

Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific

Hello and welcome back! It’s time for the best weekend junk in the land once again!

So, next week I’m taking off to the land of all Hawaiian things. Squeal! Due to my shorter than usual stay, I’d like to attempt to minimize my time online, so I ask your opinion… shall we postpone the link party until mid November until I return, or would you like to see the link up without (or few) features? I’m thinking of throwing up the link at the very least… thoughts?

This past week has seemed to be about embracing fall. Our weather has dramatically changed, with this one huge windstorm that swept through our little valley. Not only was raking in order, but my buddy Walter paid a visit once again and made my ho hum shrubs into works of art! Feels so good to have the yard ready for winter 100%!

And it wasn’t until this particular bike ride through my beloved trails that I realized I needed to quit wishing away what was right before me. This post features amazing fall forest captures while offering a little therapy 101 thrown in for good measure. If you are fighting the new season, this read is for you.

I also made something!

Before the weather turned completely, I ‘falled’ up my porch with cozy touches. Patterning up two plain placemats made all the charming difference! The tour showcases fall and everyday.

And here’s what you brought over from last weekend’s link party…

I can’t tell you how much I adore this paint treatment. Adore the deep wood tone against the cream. Stunning effect!

Love barrel parts? Here’s how to make your own… with pallet wood. Genius, huh?

An outdated shelf gets one very up to date transformation, farmhouse style! Love the black on cream. Striking!

Stencil info is inside the post.

You know those neat shelves made out of books you see? THIS IDEA gives you the same look for much less DIY. So smart.

Thank-you. I’m now going to collect a rock from Hawaii and plant its own map on it for my own Hawaiian souvenir. LOVE the look and functionality.

Spookin’ great idea! Those DIY candle drips are over the top brilliant!

Why pull out the standard schmandard Christmas boxes when you can strip down a chandy and raid your junk pile instead? Because combining the two apparently turns into Christmas magic!

Susan sells these, click through to check out her store!

Who else just wants to go wrap these around your neck and pounce into a big pile of leaves? Aren’t they so incredibly cozy looking?!
