Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 406

Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific

Welcome to an explosion of Christmas infused junk!

And hey… I even made a couple of things this week!

But my biggest struggle is apparently the time change. It’s due to start raining again this weekend so I’ve really pushed myself out during those sunny, windy cold days to get a little bike riding in before the rain hits. But goodness… between having to have all DIY photos done and a 2 hour trail ride a done deal by 4pm is a struggle! Anyone else feeling it too?

Regardless, I made myself stay home the odd day to get some stuff done.

Who makes furniture this time of year again?! Apparently I do… a couple of crates got a pretend rustic cart treatment with some found rusty junk. Fun and easy project!

With still time left for a bike ride. heh.

Dashing outdoors for a few storm blown branches was a great start to getting this year’s Christmas mantel up and running. Tips on how to get a zillion branches to stay put are included in this post.

  1. Thanks Donna for your 406th DIY Salvaged Junk Projects. Always very interesting bloggers sharing their projects. Your mantel re-decorated for Christmas is a visual treat. Have a great week – sunshine is in the forecast in about 4 days.

  2. Donna thanks so much for hosting each week. I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas. And honestly I don’t know how you can do those 2 hour bike rides in the winter. Just thinking about them makes me hurt. 😉

    • Haha! Hurts me too at times. Just bundle up warm enough and go for it! I liken it to how skiers stay warm on top of a snow filled mountain. Seems impossible but I was never cold when skiing!
