When Bella Rustica requested some head shots of me, I knew I was in trouble. I had been mucking about with iPhone and iMac shots and knew I had to get serious. So I called upon Zoe Brown Photography.
Zoe is my nieces’ daughter. She’s only 15 and already knows where she’s taking her life. She’s going full board into photography so it was a total given to get her involved.
She also asked me if I desired her special edits with textures and such. She knew I needed them somewhat conservative so here are a few of them catching me in my normal casual state…
Zoe lets you do the posing. She just wants you to go about your business and she takes care of the rest. My cat walked up to me and an impromptu cat session began. I’m so glad! I love my kitten.
Ohhh Zoe, thank-you for making me look younger and prettier! 😀
You can see more of my shots on her blog HERE.
Zoe loves doing themed shots as well as heavier edits. In fact, she’s famous for them.
She’s good at edgy too.
15 years old. This girl has one amazing future, wouldn’t you agree?
If you live in the lower mainland in BC Canada, she’s up for grabs!
Portraits, family shoots, weddings, kids, grad. You name it! You can see more of her work on her:
Thank-you so much Zoe!

Looking beautiful as always! Good luck to Zoe for her career, she’s very talented!
Wow, those are some great pictures! She is really talented!

Zoe is so talented! Wishing her the best. You look beautiful in each of your shots, Donna. Thanks for sharing your session.
She definitely has a bright future ahead of her in photography – how wonderful to know at such a young age, not only what you want to do, but are already fabulous at it! Not that you are asking for opinions, but my favorite shots of you are the one with your cat where her face is looking outwards and the one on your bed with your computer – great shots!
~Angie

Well, you can’t give the camera and the photographer all of the credit when she had an incredibly beautiful subject to work with. You are just one of those naturally pretty women and I love that about you. Your niece is amazing! How awesome to be so talented and gifted at such a young age and know where you are going. I am almost 50 and still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up. *winks TFS

and i adore that last one of zoe’s with the silhouetted profile. ::swoon::
What terrific photos of you – very natural, you must be really happy with them, and how meaningful to have one of your younger family members be able to do it as well – fantastic!
I’m from the Fraser Valley too, and my daughter began her photography at the same age as Zoe – she’d been working with Photoshop for several years prior to that, which had her graphics teachers at school lovin’ her contributions to yearbook. She began doing more ‘serious’ photography with family members, and with doing individual/group grad photo sessions – a bit hit! She’s done weddings, maternity, newborn, tons of group family shots, and loves being creative – much like your Zoe! Being that they’re both from the same area, they might want to link up and share tips etc – you can find Elisabeth on FB (https://www.facebook.com/PhotographYourMoment) if ya like. Thanks so much for sharing – I’ve been following your blog for quite a while, and really enjoyed your journey ‘down south’ (I now live in Houston, TX) as well as the tons of creative ideas you post!
