Happy party day!

So, it may not seem like a big week if you scroll my feed due to (ahem) no posts… but it’s actually been a pretty life changing one. So much so, I need headlines…

I took part in a free journaling course

First, you know I’ve been on this path of trying to figure out what’s next in life. And then Jane from Grit Antiques tagged me in this free 5 day journaling course put on by Kim Klassen. My whole week from that point turned upside down in the VERY best of ways!

I shared a little about it on Instagram, but not enough. I was honestly so enthralled with the process, I didn’t even really come up for air. The class is officially over, however Kim was gracious enough to offer a special link so you have access to do the class after-the-fact if you so choose!

If you are wrestling with ANY indecision on what’s next or unfulfilled dreams getting in your way, do this. Seriously. Do this.

Visit the free class details HERE

You will also soon find that this is an entry level exercise to a bigger course available in September HERE. Such a great way to see if this is for you first! If you decide to join the September class, I am hopeful you’ll register through my affiliate link HERE. I will share more on all this next week!

.

I changed my sleeping habits

Next, I’ve challenged myself to better eating, sleeping and exercising. I’m going to bed earlier, resulting in earlier days. But the biggest impact is the length of my days now. I cannot believe the difference! Can’t wait to tell you about this one next week too!

.

New Stencil!

I have been busy designing some cute new fall stencils and even launched a new pattern which hasn’t yet been shared. Check it out HERE! More soon!

AND… there is still more. Who’s life am I living anyway?!

.

New Project with DIY video

I made a project. It was involved, but I wanted to try my hand out with a DIY tutorial this round.

.

So won’t you help me celebrate the fact that I gotter done (before the week was officially over!) with a just-over 2-minute glance? Thanks if you do! I’d also love feedback on that type of video. Was it a helpful companion to a written blog post?

Anyway, let’s visit some fab highlights from last weekend’s party before I go off on other tangents!

DIY vintage luggage with travel stickers by Sadie Seasongoods

If you ever come across a plain vintage suitcase that has no style, check out this post. That is exactly how this piece started. Inspired by a vintage beauty with all the travel labels on it proved to be the perfect challenge to prove… you CAN make this too!

Wonderful tutorial with an Ebay link to printable luggage labels!

Bed and Breakfast antique drawer wall shelf and sign by Organized Clutter

When I first glanced at this project, I thought, that is one pretty shelf!

Upon closer look, that wasn’t just a shelf… that’s a chunk of drawer!

Super genius repurpose. Tutorial AND stencil info is inside this post.

Primitive saltbox house turned illuminated Farmhouse by Organized Clutter

This little house has a secret. It use to bee a completely different style. And while cute in its before, the after is so gorgeously outstanding! What a fun piece to work with!

Shiplap styled wine wall art by Artsy Vava, featured on Funky Junk Interiors

Shiplap styled wine wall art by Artsy Vava

Looks like a lovely print you’d possibly pick up in a boutique store, doesn’t it? Well, this one is made with wood slats and is DIY all the way! I adore how the woodsy frame brings it all together.

Vintage window side table by Scavenger Chic, featured on Funky Junk Interiors

Vintage window mirror side table by Scavenger Chic

As you can see, this is indeed a window. What you can’t see is how it was actually transformed into a ‘vintage’ mirror, THEN made into a side table.

Double tutorial for you on this one! Click through to see that decadent now-mirror. ADORE that look!

  1. Hi Donna – thank you for your 440th DIY Salvage Junk Projects today. I finally have one to share – using your Buffalo Check stencil. I’ve missed joining in for the last couple of week but I did read all the posts you shared.
    Hugs.

  2. Thank you Donna for a great party. Also, for the instructions to dry the hydrangeas. Mine are just about to the point of drying.

  3. Thank you so much for featuring my wine sign. It was so much fun (and easy) to make! I loved the video. I think it will be very helpful to people who learn in a visual rather than verbal way.
