Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 491
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Hello friends, and happy nearly fall! Is it still hot where you are? We are getting mixed up weather, but you could tell something was up right when the calendar clicked to Sept 1st! How does it know? Well, it just appears to it seems.
It also appears when we have nice weather, I appear to stay in lock down mode at home, so I’m making myself sprint for a nearby lake day with a little junkin’ and eating out on the side Friday. Stay tuned for some new adventures shared next week!
And I’m thinkin’ my break is well deserved because I really worked with intention on a project that I’ve wanted done for a LONG time!

This curb-side found dresser finally got the royal paint treatment with the vision I had some time ago. It now mimics fabric front drawers because it houses my sewing supplies! It was a fun challenge that really was super simple, utilizing stencils! Click through for full details.
I also posted a more personal writeup on a few ‘interesting’ health challenges I’ve been working through lately. I visit to my Dr. had her explaining much of the changes were due to menopause of all things! If you don’t really recognize yourself any longer and are wondering what in the world is going on with you, THIS READ may answer a few of your own questions…

I love your chest of drawers. The patterned fronts & different knobs are so unique. As for Fall, it is still in the upper 90’s here with no sign of cooler weather coming up. But, that’s common. I’m sorry to hear about your health problems. Menopause seems to affect women in so many different ways. I was so happy to no be experiencing hot flashes like my friends, but then I started waking up in the middle of the night with an anxious feeling & my heart racing. It never occurred to me that it was menopause! I hope your tests come back with some answers that will help you. I appreciate the work you put into your blog & this party every week. Enjoy your weekend.
Honored to be among so many wonderful features this week, thank you so much! The turkey junk is stink’n ADORABLE. Happy trails this weekend 🙂
