Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 511

Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific

Hi all!

What have you been up to? Are you busy cleaning like crazy?

I honestly have it on my mind, but it always falls off the list. But I guess it’s a good thing I am challenging others because at least the pressure to guide and perform has me going full-tilt at the last minute! Guess what I’m doing Saturday… LOL

So I did share how I’m keeping it a do-able task rather than getting completely overwhelmed along with how I tackled my clothing and this week’s challenge in THIS post in a video of my cat helping.

Thank goodness for distractions, right?

BUT I also did make something fun!

While I was winter decorating, I needed more space to house my new tea case I got for Christmas. So this little Ikea crate hack did the trick! My kinda bread box!

Sure was a whole lot more fun than cleaning… LOL

So back to you, here are some stunning features from last week’s party…

What a clever use of a flower stencil for winter! Equally genius to use those Christmas wreaths now too! I’m starting to think we shouldn’t be packing away our Christmas gear at all at this point!

  2. Gosh, such wonderful features, the glass coaster window is amazing! Happy cleaning today, Donna. We’ve got the grandkids coming for a sleepover. Going to be a busy but fun weekend.

    • Isn’t it?! I love it and want to make something similar!

By the way Marie, I’ve just resent an email to you. Can you please check your inbox and if you don’t get anything, let me know? It’s about completing your giveaway win back in Dec! 🙂

  3. Donna,

Love the door with the clear plates. I have a window similar to that. No, did not make it…a gift.

    Love your blog!

  4. Great party Donna! There sure are a lot of talented women. I especially liked the valentine heart wreath. I saved it to my Pinterest account. I am looking forward to reading all the entries. Have a great day.

  5. OH, those mosaic birds! The BIRDS! Those are so adorable I can’t even stand it. This could be my late winter/early spring project to use up some of the broken dishes and tiles that I’ve been hoarding forever, just waiting for the perfect project to come along. It also makes me wonder why I never thought up this one on my own.

But that Valentine’s wreath with the Shiny Brites just makes me smile and want to find some old pink ornaments to make one. So clever!
