Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 554
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
What a week. While you were busy creating and no doubt decorating for Christmas, I was working on a wall treatment. Boy do I know how to time things!
But know what? I wanted something special in my living room for Christmas. It was a weird year for all of us, and my desire was to make Christmas even more special with cozied-up walls… and here’s what I ended up doing…
Grabbing some mdf moulding, a cabin-cozy style of board and batten made a pretty big impact! But this project has a twist. It’s removable… so you can change your mind with it after the fact too! Click to visit the entire room. I ADORE it! And glad I pushed hard to belt it out.
Now about that tree…
And, you guys are a really testing me here. I allow 6 features per party post so you don’t have to scroll for 100 years to get to the links. But I allowed 7 to slip in, but could have kept going!
You will soon see why with these gorgeous highlights from last week’s party…

Isn’t this a spectacular tree?! It’s crate-style with crate markings, Christmas-style! Visit the post to learn what this tree was made from… but beware, you may end up breaking one too to make this…
No need to shop for expensive Christmas village pieces this round… re-vamped milk cartons will do! Isn’t it charming? Click the link to learn how.
After spotting a row of tool totes at the thrift, this one got industrialized! This post includes some amazing info like what to paint cans with, a pallet crate stencil, and how to age new screws. It’s a must-read!
These jaw-dropping pumpkins were not decoupaged… they are hand-painted to mimic the plates behind them. Can you even?! Do scroll this post. It is SO inspiring and beautiful.
You’ll want to be on the lookout for wooden trucks after this post. This takes the typical Christmas tree hauling truck to an all new level! Click to learn all the details and find out what these perfect Christmas colours are!
My new fav thing to collect is going to be table legs after seeing this AMAZING fireplace mantel. Click the link for the amazing tour, including valuable wood painting tips to get this look!
