We all have junk to hide. And what better way than to store it IN junk? Here are a few of my own favourites that have stood the test of time…

Toolbox charging station

If you have an old toolbox, you can have an instant beside the phone charging station. Or at the very least, a unique way to store your pens and paper! Totally unexpected yet it works.

This is what transpires when you don’t have horizontal space and lots of crates! I actually LOVE using this as my kitchen office! It’s like a little adventure each time I grab for my eyes or file my papers. :)

Toolbox coffee table

The day I landed this old toolbox on wheels, I knew EXACTLY what it needed to be. This thing rocks as a little side table that hides remotes and videos and such. Click the link to see it closed because it rocks that way too.

I’m so grateful my brother ditched these little bathroom cabinets. They have become my most favourite way to store my camera lenses! Click the link to see the action in the bottom cab. It’s adorable!

Floor to ceiling shelving

This project isn’t new but it’s my personal #1 favourite in the house and I keep revamping it to suit, so it feels new to me! Hands down, build a price efficient floor to ceiling wall unit and tuck it behind anything else you need going on. It’s the BEST room saver and makes a cool statement in a room!

Stool and toolbox kitchen helpers

I realize this is a little decked out for Christmas, but these two guys are staying put after the fact! The stool offers more room for a coffee station and the toolbox holds all my unglamorous kitchen apparatus together in one neat little package. I ADORE BOTH!

And this oldie but goodie still rocks and is going nowhere! Easy to see, easy to grab.

  3. I LOVE the toolbox ideas. What a great way to use old ones. We have a couple that are just sitting around collecting dust. Thanks for the inspiration.
