DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 346
Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Well! I did not expect rain today. I fully expected to be scurrying off on my bike to places unknown. So I guess my plans have changed. It may be time to list a few new things on my bidding site to continue my purging, and maybe even paint a wall or 5. I’m changing my walls to white white, did I tell you that yet? And on the weekend, I may or may not (I’m truly not sure but want to) bring home a new sofa and 2 chairs from Ikea. I am on a tangent to scoop out the (bad) trash and make what I envision with good junk! This shopping trip should prove to be rather comical… I hear sofas at Ikea come in PIECES. Good grief.
In other news, I have been working hard behind the scenes with 3 industrial-ish farmhouse projects that are ‘new stencil’ related. So they will be coming within the next week or 2! It’s quite a process launching new product, so I thank you for your patience.
I added new junk to a flowerbed,
whipped up an easy variation to iced coffee,
then took off for the weekend to a little cabin glamping trip to the mountains. Loads of pretty pictures on that one, including junkin’!
When’s the last time you took a little getaway? Where do you like to go when you can?
So… back to the junk… let’s party!
Here’s a few fab highlights from last week..
Trays and pictures wall gallery, by Cherished Bliss
If this post doesn’t prove that anything cool can be a gorgeous wall gallery, I don’t know what would. Trays, arrows and frames it is! I love the shadow box effect the trays offer.
Tobacco stick gates and stars, by Grit Antiques
When Jane found an online listing for tobacco sticks, she thought she was picking up 500. It ended up being 5000! So she’s been a little busy making cool, rustic gates and charming stars. These ideas would also work well with cheap, new cedar strips, so head on over to see how easy this is.
Industrial farmhouse tour, by Design, Dining and Diapers
Taryn takes you on a full house tour of her gorgeous home, filled to the brim with industrial farmhouse flair. Warning… you will want to gather wood and pipes after this lovely tour. I’m smitten with these shelves in her laundry room!
DIY Industrial console table, by Refresh Restyle
Just when I was eyeing up my own very tired media stand, Debbie comes up with this gorgeous and clever idea for a console. I LOVE this! And it’s so do-able. The post shows all.
While many are trying to get rid of unused heavy wood stoves, this sweet project goes to show, you may want to rethink that one! What a unique side table! Open that door, add a light and you have one that illuminates too. Love this.
A headboard gets a refresh with a beautiful painted treatment and hooks. Simply elegant!
And right on target with the season, Sarah comes up with yet another win. With fabric pumpkins all the rage, these bandanas take that concept to a whole new level!
This past weekend, I took off for a little cabin in the woods experience. This post showcases pretty pictures galore of our area with bike trails, my little rustic cabin, plus a whole lotta junk shopping.
