Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Happy weekend everyone!
This past week wasn’t creative project wise. It became all about running into town for countless appointments, then focusing on taking some new, artsy product shots of the stencils that were LONG overdue. There are so many back end tasks that I don’t blog about. Maybe I should.
But some cleaning did get done. I gave myself a mantra to sell something once a week, in the ongoing effort to purge. On the weekend, I got rid of 3 coats after going through all our clothing, which was no big deal, but I can’t say the same for the massive STACK of pinstripes from my last job. Relinquishing junk AND a past life? Doubly hard, but needed.
I also wrote a ridiculously long, but hopefully helpful post on how to know if selling stuff is right for you. Hopefully my own unintentional story will help guide you on your own path.
And now it’s time to party already! Here’s some sweet highlights from last weekend…
Sometimes simple is perfection. As is with this basket lamp. SOLD. I have the perfect spot for three of them… they are on the list!
I love that the light would be diffused into the rest of the room still. This is a tricky combo when you are using repurposed items for a shade. This is perfect!
Buffalo check and snowflake coaters, by Lydi Out Loud
We are having super frigid weather lately, so these coasters drew me right in! Clever fix for some old ceramic ones you may have hanging around.
Wooden vintage sign frame, by Petticoat Junktion
Two little thrift store found signs were really ramped up, thanks to a clever wooden frame idea. I think the key for this working was the punchy orange colour! So cheerful!
Pallet wood and old hinges come together, bringing you several different variations of junk styled hearts. Best kind of year ’round Valentines around. Calorie free too.
This winter home tour will take your frosty breath away! The rustic wood touches warm up these white and bright spaces perfectly.
Love message tray, by Uncommon Designs
Say it with a tray.. This tray full of Love is one clever, easy way to frame things up!
You’d never know these shelf brackets were new. Great way to get instant rust with just a little paint!
Aren’t the hues on this wall fabulous? Equally so against the brightly toned media cabinet. Such a striking way to watch TV I say.
String art Valentine’s hears by Ambient Wares
You can just about feel these hearts beat with this clever take on string art. Super cool year around valentines!
This window shelf is perfection as is. But I have to admit, my creative mind is RACING. This could become a writing station, bulletin board, coffee station, plant stand, garden tool station… never mind. I just need to make one, then I’ll figure that all out.
