Hello friends!

Where did the week go?!

I just physically got up and looked at my dayplanner to see what in the world I all did!

First off, I completed my bathroom closet and outfitted it with reclaimed wood shelves… and pulled off the most difficult photo shoot to date. Gah! Tight dark spaces are not a photographer’s dream.

But the outcome is so so so fun! And free too!

I also bought a new toy… a brand new miter saw sits in my garage but didn’t take shots of it yet because the garage was a disaster.

So I cleaned that up and went to the dump. YES! Isn’t that the most satisfying run ever?

In other news, I’ve booked a REAL trip (egads.. I did, will share more soon!), talked to a contractor about outdoor house renos (yikes! will share my ideas with you), and am busy prepping for a weekend Fusion Mineral Paint merchant conference in which I’m leading. How fun!

And I received a GORGEOUS book in the mail (Amazon affiliate link) and am absolutely craving to make a project next week from it!

In a perfect world, I could live life then hand over blog post building to another so I could do both at breakneck speed… wouldn’t that be something to have two of oneself at times? Doubling up the coffee though would not be a good thing…

So since the weekend simply arrived without any big notice or anything, (heh), let’s check out some highlights from last week’s link party

Am I the only one here that never thought to cut out a shirt pocket and utilize it for something else?! This idea is so perfect! Now I just want to collect cool pockets! These could make adorable pin cushions too! What could you use a pocket for?

How perfectly boho is this little project?! Another win for the brown thumb family! I SO want to do this one! Such a perfect way to inject rustic wood and plants all in one!

If you adore the look of jadeite but not the price tag attached, consider the next clear plate or platter when you visit a thrift store. Here’s how to get this fab look!

I may have to fire up my lamp shade collection once again, because I am diggin’ this map shade look! It sure customizes this little corner of this space, doesn’t it?

Never in a million years did I think of flowers when I glanced up at the family Christmas tree when growing up. What a clever way to bring in summer with an off-season trinket!

  1. I can’t believe I’m the first one here! Thank you, Donna, for continuing with your blog linky party all this time. I love coming here and checking out the great ideas you and other bloggers post. Two thumbs up!

  2. Hi Donna,
Lovely projects you selected this week! I especially love Sadie’s shirt pockets. Junking with fabric and a little sewing a project after my heart. Love your bathroom project too! My bathroom is next on the list for the final finishing work, finishing my guest room got me inspired. I linked up that room makeover because I used a lot of junk style items in it.
    Have a great weekend.
    Marianne

  3. Love your features this week, Donna. Could that real holiday be in Hawaii? Been looking at your Hawaii posts again an shared them with my sister as we’ve been talking about a trip to Hawaii in February and renting a condo. Thanks for hosting the party and hope your weekend is off to a great start 🙂

  4. Hi Donna and thanks for the party. So many creative and eclectic things to read about, savor and even try. Love the map lampshade. I have a thing for maps and want to incorporate them in my home, either decoupaged on furniture, etc. And good luck at the Fusion Mineral Paint merchant weekend. Cool you’ll be leading.
