Happy nearly end of November! Are ya festive-feelin’ it yet?!

We have had frost outside for a few weekends now and I even got a chance to try out my new windshield cover I picked up from Costco. Boy was I done with scraping! Hope it works… LOL

In other news, I took off on a weekend getaway with a friend to Seattle… how fun was that! Will share our adventures soon. But once back, I managed to finish up a post I had started on the cutest sign with a twist…

  1. I know you Canadians are like…”enough with the Thanksgiving already; we’re over it”. But here in the U.S., there are people who are very intent on our Thanksgiving not getting lost. Wish we had it earlier like you lucky folks do! The Christmas juices are flowing! Thanks for hosting, Donna, and for featuring my Tool Caddy centerpiece!

    • Not at all Lora! I can happily celebrate your Thanksgiving when you have it too! Your vignette is so pretty!

I don’t really view it as getting lost as it’s still there, but I do understand how it’s perceived that way to some. Late fall is a unique time of year when fall and winter are both combined… so why not?!

    • oh, Lora, i could not agree MORE! i am one of those people!

i love Thanksgiving, even though i celebrate it very differently now that my kids all live far away. it’s the only ‘non-commercial’ holiday, and it means something to me. i stubbornly refuse to move into Christmas until AFTER Thanksgiving. (i don’t shop on Black Friday, either – i decorate!!!! 😉 )

  2. Your JOY sign is beautiful, Donna! Thank you for featuring my Santa milk & cookie tray. It’s going to my grandkid’s house today to put under their tree. Have a good weekend! Ours is going to be all about spending time with family and watching sappy Hallmark Christmas movies (love the sap this time of year). LOL

  3. i’m sitting over here laughing because i’m the only person whose gonna’ link up a fall project this week!!! it was a last-minute project that i did in about ten minutes, and i thought ‘put it on the blog and link it up – maybe there is *one other person in the world* who hasn’t already decorated their entire house for Christmas, who could use this idea for Thanksgiving!’ 😉

there are SO many really great holiday/winter projects already linked up here -looks like i’m gonna’ be on the computer for awhile this weekend! thanks for an always inspiring party, Miss Donna!
