Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 508
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
What a funny, mixed up kinda past week, huh? One minute I felt I should be working, then the next I sat with the cats and binged Netflix, then hung out with friends playing games. ‘Tis the season for whatever comes first!
While I haven’t begun to officially create yet (I haven’t even cleaned up Christmas yet!), I did start on an cozy argyle winter pillow today. Yay me, I got into the paint!
But I have been busy building other things for the blog this past week…
NEW Stencil Video Tutorials Page – one page access
Would you like to learn how to Buffalo Check with no paint bleed? And 101 other great tips?
This past December I challenged myself to video some easy projects, in which they officially now have a home on the blog. Some of these projects do not have a blog post, so these are new!
Easily accessible from the navigation bar, under Old Sign Stencils. They share loads of tips, tricks and techniques you can use on any project moving forward! Sometimes it’s easier to be shown, so that’s what these do!
Funky Junk’s best of 2019 – visit 29 projects and posts

Thank you so much for hosting! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
For Christmas my son made me a “puzzle” style crate to cover the base of our
Christmas tree. I love it! Now I need to order your shipping label stencil and it will be perfect.

I love all these projects!
OhMyGoodness! I’m so glad you like my little button trees. They’re so much fun to make. The white ones do look like “winter trees” covered in snow. Thanks so much for sharing them!
Yep…still Christmas here. Probably need to start taking it down:( Wish I could just start creating and have a fairy do that. Making pretty is so much more fun than taking it down. Such is life. Fun to see all the best of posts from everyone!
