Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 526
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
We have officially been graced with the most beautiful weather this weekend, and I couldn’t be happier! With so many outdoor projects I’ve been wanting to create, this works for me!
One is to repaint the trim on my house, which is in the works. But then I did a surprise project that I’ve been wanting to do over the last few years… and that was to repaint my front door in the same colour…
So I did! I wanted to create a rustic wooden door screen for in front of it (currently in the works) and having the trim the same as the door colour was the first step to my current vision. I am personally loving the neutral deep chocolate tone, which really helps neutralize my home more-so! Come on over for a visit for the full tour and a little peek at how my front flowerbeds are exploding!
In other news, I’ve been currently focusing on learning new things. It takes more brain power for sure, and a whole lotta humble pie eating, but I already know it’s so key in growth. Gotta make the mistakes to get to the good stuff. So crossing my fingers my new screen door vision pans out because real woodworking is a whole new ballgame for this hack junk builder!
And working on my puzzle each evening over the news. I really love how that calms down my busy overthinking mind of late. Are you into puzzles too?
What’s been your focus lately? How are you moving on?
So moving on, my jaw dropped over your creativity once again. Here I am throwing splintered pine wood into the burn pile (LOL) while you crank out these gorgeous projects… thanks for providing pretty productivity in my own world and others! You help keep me moving ahead.
Here’s some outstanding features from last week’s party…

I can only imagine how lovely a blustery day sounds in Lisa’s yard, thanks to these sweet silverware wind chimes. I’d love to make a couple for my outdoor patio! Click the link for all the details.
Desire some hooks, vintage-style? Grab that old level and a few wooden spools because this is such a great look AND productive all-in-one! Click the link to learn how.
I’ve always said to go up if you can’t spread out, so this ladder planter is a top-notch idea if you lack space. So pretty, and will continue to get even moreso as those flowers start to spill over the edges of the bucket planters! Click the link to learn all the details.
WHERE ARE MY HORSESHOES? Because now I really need them. What an epic use along with some other rusty junk to create a word of choice! And BOOM… what a gorgeous pop of colour against that rust! Visit the post link for all the details.
