Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 527

Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific

Hello there friends!

So nice to have you back for another inspiring weekend!

Even I’ve been busy this past week! I created a screen door (from scratch!) and even bought a new tool toy to get the job done! Can’t wait to share that with you soon!

I’ve also been working more on the yard, and have the cutest project I’ll be sharing early next week that’s all about enhancing your flowerbeds with scrap wood… it was one of those projects that I didn’t know would even transpire… which is most often the case when I just work around fixing up the house!

So yay to plenty of upcoming creativity!

Vedder River Rotary Trail bike ride during spring

But this past week I did share a heartfelt post HERE on losing my beloved bike trails due to our current climate…

But luckily, this story ends well, with a few valuable lessons in it for good measure! Come on over and visit one very pretty post with a very grateful ending!

You can also tell summer’s in the air with this week’s features from last week’s party… those vibrant bright happy colours just make ME happy! And here they are…

If you have a stash of campfire accessories, you may have what’s called a jaffle iron… which apparently makes the most adorable painted sunflowers garden art for outdoors! Click to read what this special iron is traditionally used for and how it was revamped!

I just sunk into my chair a few inches lower… but that’s only because these gorgeous pin cushions with jello mold bases are hinting at me to try sewing a few face masks… and I don’t even know if my machine still works! Maybe I should start with these first… LOL These are the cutest! Click the link to learn how to make them.

  1. Donna
Thank you for hosting. Your parties are always so inspiring!
I’m so glad you shared my pincushions in the feature. It’s funny that you mentioned making face masks…of course I had to make one with the same vintage fabric. I didn’t think we would need to wear them very long- boy was I wrong.

My neighbor throw away an old bike and I picked it up!
MY Husband cleaned it and now I can ride around the neighborhood.
I never thought I’d ride but it’s fun.

  2. Thanks so much for the feature Donna, and accommodating this non-blogger, lol.
Ummm, I can sew a stitch, but those pincushions are adorable!!
I look forward to seeing what you’ve been up to and again, big congrats on getting your riding trails back!

  3. Oh my goodness, this landlocked Albertan who dreams of living near water is swooning over that ADORABLE lighthouse village! I’m thrilled to have my vent cover table featured among it and the other awesome features. Thank you, Donna, and happy trails this weekend. Off to read your latest biking adventure next.
