New Upcycle Ideas 837
Every Friday, 7pm through Wed, 11 pm pacific
Greetings, friends!
I made something really neat…. but I’m holding out sharing it until next Wed when I join forces with my creative friends from the Thrift Store Decor Team (see our past events HERE)! So stay tuned… it’s an easy outdoor flip that turned out so cool!
This week was all about catching up. I did some video work, tended the garden, cleaned the house, and got totally immersed in The Beau Chateau on YouTube. Also known more recently as Castle Impossible on HGTV. Have you caught either one yet? I’m obsessed watching this young entertaining couple make over a Chateau in France! It’s SO good.
In other news, I have a happy mess going on in my kitchen office area after finding a potential old vintage cabinet I’d love to flip into a pantry in that area… along with a price efficient idea to use as a dream farmhouse table. This new kitchen extension is slowly coming together!
This blogging office has a LOT of memories attached. However, I’ve been trialing out my smaller office HERE and am loving it, so the changes are all systems go!
So until there’s more fun stuff to share, let’s check out this week’s fabulous features from last week’s party… then onto the new additions!

Garden art gazing bowling ball on a lampshade frame stand
DIY gazing bowling ball by Sadie Seasongoods
The term gazing ball is new to me… but now that I know what it is, I need one! What was once a bowling ball received a few tweaks to turn it into this beautiful garden art, along with an easy stand you CAN make in 30 seconds… this is a must-try!
Copper fish art made from cardboard
DIY copper fish by A Crafty Mix
Smitten with this amazing fish art? Would you believe this all starts with cardboard?! My goodness… this resembles real metal patina in the best of ways. Incredibly gorgeous tones and the fish shapes on that wood chunk are perfection.
Mosaic table from a broken plate by a cat
Broken plate mosaic table by Our Crafty Mom
I’ll have to have a chat with my cat Sky. Because this amazing broken plate mosaic table transpired after a cat broke a plate! But rather than toss it out, Michelle made a long awaited project happen instead, and this amazing beautiful table top is the result! The mosaic surface is so pretty! I’ve also always wanted to try this, so Sky, get on it please! Oh wait… I need to go buy a cute plate first…
Easy no-sew denim rag coasters
No-sew denim rag coasters by The Crafting Table
If you’re also a fan of denim, you’ll want to check out how to make these easy yet so cool denim rag coasters! There’s a special secret that goes on the back that pulls this one all together… literally! This is so clever and of course can be used with any fabric scraps you have!
Pantry from a thrift store cabinet
Thrift store cabinet pantry by Studio 27 by Jennifer Adams
This thrift store cabinet pantry certainly got my interest! Right now I’m waiting for someone to come home from vacation so I can possibly do the same thing with a vintage cabinet! So allow me to dream while I admire what a sweet pantry this cabinet makes! Even though this is for a specific collection of miniature food, this can also be used to extend your own pantry needs for canned and jarred goods and such! Since we’re talking miniatures, you must check this amazing collection of faux food out… dreamy!
Boy, did these creations ever make up for me not having a thing to share this week! Thank-you all! These are so inspiring!
