I had intended to share a really exciting project this week, however I’m going to hold onto it until next week so I have something amazing to share alongside my creative friends from the Thrift Store Decor Team! It’s a really REALLY good one! So come back Wednesday AM please… it’s one of my most fav and handiest upcycles yet!
The big news around our area are forest fires that are sadly burning all over BC. Where I am, we’ve experienced some very smoky days having to stay indoors, however it’s a very minor inconvenience compared to most. I really feel for this situation. It just seems like it’s everywhere you hear about. We sure could use some rain.
I’m just really feeling the dog days of summer slowing me down a little. I’ve been putzing around in the garden while using my fancy new pallet garden tool storage, having coffees beside my coat hook plant hanger sign, sitting barefoot under a massive willow tree overlooking a creek out back, going for meandering bike rides, stopping for ice-cream, and hitting the local thrift store of course! I haven’t taken a real vacation since before the big C, so I allow lazy staycation days if I need them, because it’s like a free vacation. Did you go anywhere this summer or stay put too?
Anyway, I’m so grateful I have these wonderful upcycled project features to share from last week’s party… then onto the new additions!

Oh, this chair comes with such a good story… especially about the found dime bringing down the price even more! LOL A lonely chair outside of a thrift store got a unique paint stain treatment and some exposed intentional mending patches that will most certainly give new hope to an old piece that begs for a 2nd chance! You must go see the before… such a brave move! It’s so much cuter now!

But I’m so glad Kathy pushed through because now this is a darling nautical bulletin board complete with shell push pins theming it up right for your vacation pictures!
