PJ 318 – BEST DIY salvaged junk projects

Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific

Happy junk weekend, friends! Nice to see you back!

It’s been a little quieter on the blog front this round. I had caught my son’s cold so I did rest a little more.

But feeling a tad guilty, I did get some cleaning in, and whipped up this  cool paint shelf from repurposed signs...

And I chatted about pyjama productivity… you get that, right? Who else is more productive if you DIVE into your day PJ clad and all?

So… junk time! Here’s some favs from last weekend...

Why build if you can simply stack two cool crates? Simply… beautiful!

These arrows are a work of art. Take a close look at how those colour coordinated feathers were made. Amazing!

So unexpectedly cool for a kitchen! I love how the black walls play off the warm woods. And let’s chat about those window valances… swoon!

Just when you’ve given up on rotting, wooden birdhouses or feeders outdoors, Joan comes up with this gem of an idea. I love the pallet wood surround!

Note: Place in shade, out of the sun, as metal can heat up.

I often make old signs just because. This round, I took a few apart, to make something even more useful! Nothing like repurposing a repurpose… 🙂

Who else is now going to be on the lookout for a robin’s egg blue mug at the local thrift? Swooning over this adorable idea!

An army blanket gets a happy, new life as a kid’s play tent in this charming room! A must peek!

  1. love a party that I can attend & stay home!

I’m now dreaming of painting the bottom of our walls in our loft with chalkboard paint…what a vision board that would be!

  2. Yay! I just found my old copper teapot with blue and white porcelain handle and was wondering what to do with it. Now to figure out something for the lid….. And I have been putting homemade suet out, so I just need to find some fresh twigs for the birds to perch on. Thanks. I love, love, love your site. My husband and I have recently purchased (used) bikes so we can get out more as the days warm up (we are in the southeast); you have been an inspiration. We also became owners to a 100 year farmhouse that we are slowly fixing up and I use your ideas for ‘found’ junk for both decor and function. Blessings.
