DIY your own miracles – Merry Christmas!

How any times this past year have you wished for things to be different?

Well friends, this year as been a massive change for myself. And there was only one secret to making the changes I desired.

I did, vs wish.

This year…

We went to Maui, after a 15 year long wait.

I was a first time ever keynote speaker in Toronto, which led to so much more.

I left my dayjob.

I fired up a line of products.

And now, we are going on a mini dream vacation for Christmas. With no travel agent’s support in sight. We did it all on our own. Do you know how HUGE that is for me?

My point here is, so often we wish and pine and want things different than where we’re at. And I’m no different.

But when I decided to stop the nonsense of wishing and hoping and making New Year’s Resolutions that don’t last beyond January 2nd, and started making things happen the next second from now instead, THAT is how I personally changed my life around.

Believe you can. And then do it.

My wish for you this Christmas season is that you take the time to enjoy the glitter and the lights, honour the memories from the past, and enjoy those that are with you right now.

But to also forge ahead bravely with each passing minute, and allow yourself to discover the wonders that are currently unknown to you.

Growth is life changing. Literally.

Merry Christmas, dear friends! Thanks so much for following along this little junk ride of mine! And thank-you so much for becoming a part of OUR story.

We are currently in Disney, and invite you to follow along our adventures with us on Instagram and Facebook!

  1. No one is more deserving than you. I am so happy everything is working out for you. Best wishes for you and your son in the new year!

  2. Thank you for your inspiration. Not only in the projects you do, but your getting things done attitude. You are a strong lady. Enjoy yourself at Disney and Merry Christmas!

  3. You are an inspiration to me. I do enjoy your creative mind and am constantly amazed at what you can come up with using junk! I have, just this past couple of months, decided to make my blog a paying endeavor (so I can quit my day job too) and am applying myself to it. It can seem a bit overwhelming at times but I do love it so much. When I am getting discouraged I just pop in here and read a few posts and get my fire back! Thank you so much. Enjoy your Disney trip.

  4. Hi Donna, oh dear, you just described me!!! I have always had grandiose ideas but have little action behind them. Thank you for these inspiring words and you live what you say. MERRY CHRISTMAS Blessings and smiles, Emilou 🙂

  5. I am so excited for all the wonderful things that have happened for you the past few years. Yes – YOU were responsible for making your dreams come true.

Thank you for taking us along on the adventures and inspiring us to dream (and plot and plan) as well.

    Merry Christmas!

Wishing you many more wonderful blessings in 2015

  6. I admire the steps you’ve taken Donna to live your dream. It’s something I did 6 years ago and can honestly say that I’ve never for one minute regretted it. That’s not to say that ‘living the dream’ is always easy or straight forward, but it does feel authentic. Thank you for sharing your journey with us… I for one love following along.
Happy New Year and may 2015 be full of amazing things for you.

  7. Congratulations on your achievements. You are so right about doing instead of wishing. You’re an inspiration. I will be refer back to this post often for my source of inspiration as I aim to “do more” in 2015.
