DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 338
Every Friday, 7 PM through Sunday 11 PM Pacific
Hello weekend junk lovers!
Can you even believe I’ve managed to post these parties while on vacay?
Truth be told, I have lots of time to do it. I just didn’t think I’d be able to be ‘that aware’ of what day it was, never mind what time.
I’ve also been able to stay somewhat amused by post building due to not being able to sink into a good book. I’ve read two… but a 3rd one doesn’t appear to be happening.
So anyway, I kinda sorda hoped to post a DIY along with you this round, but I’m just not feeling it. Being somewhat frustrated without the right tools and gear, plus not being able to take pictures in thrift stores, looks as if you just get the likes of my travels while I travel for now. I’ll bring my newfound treasures home and make something cool with them there.
Gives me a reason to come home, yes? Because quite frankly, I’m gonna need several good ones… 🙂 Thank you kitties for being #1! Note of interest… There are many homeless cats here, and it hurts my heart. But some restaurants actually feed and water them. I’d be one of those restaurants for certain.
You can catch up on my most recent Hawaiian adventures HERE. One even has a video!
So, onto the cool junk! Here’s a few treasures from last weekend’s party…
Industrial pipe laundry room shelves, by Design, Dining and Diapers
One of my first projects I plan to tackle once home is the laundry room. I am hugely inspired by this simple yet super cool solution for shelving. LOVE this look, and it’s way more affordable and easier to install than a row of cupboards!
Garden themed Potting Shed front door mat design, by Grit Antiques
I was truly smitten with the idea of stencilling your own design on a doormat! You can bet my stencil brain wheels are turning now… full deets including stencil link is in the post.
Rustic flower market sign with scrap wood by My Salvaged Treasures
I love the clever use of the reclaimed wood chunk for this little slice of summer in this sweet corner. Just goes to prove, signs are not limited to one plank of wood! Stencil deets in the post link.
Pig cutting board BBQ sign, by Saturday’s Vintage Finds
You can bet I’m now eyeing up shaped cutting boards. This BBQ sign is rather genius! With junky hardware thrown in for good measure of course!
Painted patriotic American flag cooler, by Have a Daily Cup of Mrs Olson
Really!!!! This is the coolest cooler I’ve seen yet! So vintage Americana feeling! Such a clever use of the shape of the lid.
The building of a She Shed, by Have a Daily Cup of Mrs Olson
Be prepared to be wowed. Who else wants to live in this shed? Oh my goodness… get in my yard right now! I’d even serve coffee in mine.
Pot lid bird feeder, by Sadie Seasongoods
Pot lids. Sarah’s genius ways with nothings continue to have me shaking my head in awe.
Curious… anyone else on WordPress kinda tripping over how hard it is to add links to things and have them stick now? Just (big sigh) checking…
So, what did you make this past week?

Sooo Miss Donna, with all this holidaying, Just when do you plan on coming back home? You know all of us poor people who can’t get away are getting a little sick of all this beautiful tropical weather. Especially your LOCAL (Fraser Valley)FANS.
