Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 385
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Hey! I’m back! Kinda.
I’m positively with no doubt in my mind having the weirdest summer of my life. 50% of me wants to sprint off, and the rest wants me to put down some new summertime roots and spiff this place up with some new enhancements the house needs. Can you relate?
I think old habits are just squawking at me. Being gone so many summers in a row is telling my mind I should not be home. Facebook reminders do not help do they?!
Time will tell what transpires I suppose. So for the short term, I’ll be putzing around making stuff and landing new finds on the curb, like the giant chalkboard yesterday… it filled up the back of my truck!
Are you following me on Instagram HERE? Be sure to watch for the live stories from your phone that are only up for 24 hours. I use it frequently and shared the chalkboard find.
So let’s now check out the repurposed projects you came here for, that were part of this party 2 weeks ago…
Repurposed projects to make:
DIY tin can vintage styled washboard by A Crafty Mix
If you love the look of a vintage washboard but don’t want to pay the price or can’t land one, here’s how to make one. From scratch. Using a tin can. I kid you not. Genius!
Dairy Farm Stanchion Junk Garden Decor by Organized Clutter
Someone asked if I wanted a cow stanchion not long ago, which I turned down. And then Carlene goes and makes it a part of her garden fence! SUPER cool placement!
Wood crate styled centrepiece vases, by Scavenger Chic
This reclaimed wood vase showcases some clever wedding themed secrets, however I’d like a few for every day of the year, thankyouverymuch!
A crib, pallet and kitchen cabinet bench, by Scavenger Chic
I KNOW you are eyeing up this piece as diligently as I did thanks to that description. Hard to imagine isn’t it? Super inspiring tutorial and over the top cool outcome!
Easy stacked outdoor pallet sofa by The Boondocks Blog
Because outdoor furniture does NOT have to be expensive nor difficult to make. I like the way you think, Mary!
Berry basket bookends by Sadie Seasongoods
Non rotting summertime strawberries. To organize your summer reads perhaps? So stinkin’ cute AND clever!
Denim Belt Loop Cuffs by Vintage with Laces
Why did I give away my old jeans to the thrift again?! These cuffs are AMAZING.
Note: This tutorial use to be located here but doesn’t appear to be online any longer:

What did you make this past week? Link up below!
~ Blah blah linkup rules ~
1. Upcycled, DIY home decor projects only please. Items for sale must be in tutorial form on your blog. NO FOOD NOR NEW CRAFTS please.
2. Linkups must be your own work, not another’s.
3. Only projects new to this link party please. The themed linkup (if applicable) is an exception.
4. By linking up here, you’re cool with me featuring you on my blog, Pinterest, Twitter, FJI Facebook with a link back to you, or its own new LINK WIDGET with no additional permission required.
5. No need to link back! Pinning the first image instead would be very appreciated. Thank you! 🙂
Thanks Donna for your 385th DIY Salvaged Junk Projects. Looking forward to reading your holiday post – took a peek on Instagram.
Joy
Welcome back Joy! Thanks for bringing your goodness over so often! You are rockin’ those stencils btw…
Donna it is an honor to be included among all these super talented ladies. I want to thank you for the party every week and thanks for the feature as well. I have to say I really like that phrase… reclaiming my space. This is something I need to work on too.
Oh my goodness Mary… every thing that I push out this door, that room is configured nearly immediately. I can now see why some rooms were at a complete stand still. There was simply no room to implement the things I actually needed! This place is becoming like a new to me house! Just do it I say…
And so nice of you to stop by again! That pallet sofa has my heart…
Thanks so much for featuring my stanchion! So glad you got some time away to recharge!
Your garden junk is food for the soul, Carlene! My time away was so nice! Trying to come up with little extensions here and there…
Restless feelings come when big changes are about to happen. Stay as happy as you can be to let in the good that is coming. Follow your heart and manage your head. Don’t let the shoulds boss you around or lower your feelings with guilt. You are terrific just as you are. You rock!
Ahhh, such wise advice Ruth. Staying home is definitely turning into fighting off the ‘shoulds’. I will be working on that!
Hope your weekend is full of fun projects, Donna and thanks for the party!
Thanks for stopping by Marie! I started about a zillion new things and finished nothing. I think I am still stuck in summer break mode… : )
Thanks for hosting, Donna! Glad you got a little respite, but probably not like months in Hawaii! Times of change in our lives sure throw us off, don’t they? Just keep creating…you were meant for it!
Thanks for the boost, Lora! No, it’s not like Hawaii and I’m finding it hard to adjust to settling for home this summer. LOL I think I need to plan a few things so I have a little extra kick in my step! While junking and creating of course. : )
Hi Donna, thanks so much for hosting!
So glad you enjoyed your get-a-way, Donna 🙂 Thanks for the party!
Thanks Diana! Yes, the break was much needed!
Welcome back Donna and thank you once again for a lovely link up party and for featuring our little tin can washboard. May your creative wings take you where ever you need to be. Hope you have a happy week
Thanks Michelle! Not sure I’m fully back yet but am attempting today anyway! haha
What a wonderful collection I love everything they are so inspiring 🙂
