Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 386
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Happy party weekend!
Boy are we being hit with summer in our area! Maybe I should stay home during summer more often?
Now that I am home from my little getaway, I’m finally sharing the first post on the cabin location and about the beloved outdoor dining-living room I left behind… *sob*. But no fear! It encouraged me to start revamping my own patio to emulate!
I’ve also been doing lots of bike riding, finished watching Outlander on Neflix (it’s good, but not exactly a G rating in my book so heads up), and am now watching The Paradise. Oh my goodness… what an adorable show. Are you watching anything good right now I need to check out next?
I’ve also started about 100 projects with nothing complete… so I cut myself a deal. I can’t bike daily if I don’t make or blog about stuff, and that just won’t do… let’s see if this self inflicted challenge works…
Thank goodness to you, we have some pretty cool stuff to highlight from last week’s party…
Map covered pallet wood travel picture frame by Pillar Box Blue
This post showcases how a chunk of pallet wood and a printed map image can morph you off into some foreign far off land… with a twist. This map is printed on the wood, not on paper! So neat!
Doesn’t it look like it was unearthed from some ancient trunk?
Vintage washboard chicken wire photo frame by Sadie Seasongoods
Don’t do away with a broken antique washboard… a little chicken wire will have that old relic working hard to display photos or notes!
PERFECT authentic farmhouse touch, especially for a laundry room.
Rustic wood outdoor bench by Cherished Bliss
Oh my goodness… no need for all those fancy schmancy wood sizes to make yourself a bench. Just one kind of board will do! Super clever. I think I know I need a jig…
Coastal painted terra cotta plant pots by Cherished Bliss
I am smitten with the layered textured painted treatment on these new clay pots. What a neat vibe! You still get the original clay peeking through, without it being so prominent.
DIY fireplace in a farmhouse bedroom reveal by Twelve On Main
Raise your hand if you too have dreamed of putting a DIY fireplace where none existed before. Well… allow this post to influence that dream!
That said, RUN, don’t just walk for this entire bedroom reveal. Oh. My. Goodness. This room has a place and a space for everything. I think the beams are what totally transformed it for me… which was your fav part?
Shabby chic painted cupboard by Biljana Shabby
An old beat up cupboard received one very pretty and detailed paint treatment. Isn’t this drawer alone stunning?
When you visit, do yourself a favor and click on every photo to enlarge. So many pretty ideas to incorporate!
Stenciled stair risers by Kammy’s Korner
The mix of stencils for these stair risers make me want to climb those pretty things to see where they lead. Don’t they hold a special vintage quality?
Buffalo checked garden junk flower planter by Organized Clutter
Vintage buffalo checked charm perks up this pretty red geranium planter in this garden junk vignette. Don’t they team up so PERFECTLY?!
Carlene’s garden tours are always worth your click… see what other surprises this area holds!
Up-cycled drawer portable potting bench, by Sadie Seasongoods
An old drawer becomes a one-of-a-kind easy-to-store portable potting station. How CLEVER! The image was made with a stencil… all info is inside the post.
What did you make this past week? Link up below!
