DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 408 - candle holder candy trees, wood scrap snowman, gingerbread village, plus! Features and NEW junk projects on funkyjunkinteriors.net

Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 408

Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific

Seasons Greetings and a Happy New Year to you! Which will apply during this party!

My goodness… can you believe it? We did it. We survived it all!

So tell me… what have you been doing between Christmas and New Years? Have you been laying low or working hard?

I’ve actually done both… I have been creating and cleaning, and then a blizzard and ice storm hit and I think all I did today was run to the windows and stare at the snow falling in between shoveling. It’s such a novelty thing here.

Anyway, for some reason I’m feeling super inspired and am really looking forward to seeing what you bring this weekend to fuel that.

Here are some pretty highlights from last weekend’s party

I finally finally FINALLY got some long overdue holiday decorating up! Here’s the full tour… and now I want hot cocoa. I may have to take this picture down… 😀

Well, the bell shape is just so clever, is it not? Nice way to protect the seed from the weather.

This post is power packed with so much charm with mostly found thrift store finds. Truly one of a kind decorating at its very best! Beat that, big box stores.

I thought the first kitchen was cute, until I saw all the personalized touches added after the fact. Just wow! This deserves a close up peek to catch all the lovely details.

  1. The ice and snow (or was that snow and ice) has been a ‘surprise’ (Lower Mainland) – so mostly I stayed home and off the roads. Pushed snow and slush off the driveway and sidewalk and steps a few times.

Thanks Donna for a year of DIY Salvaged Junk Projects. You inspire me to carry on. Spent most of my time inside undecorating, some cleaning, some rearranging and some organizing plus a lot of doing nothing much except reading books and blogs and extra naps.

    Happy New Year 2018 Donna.

    Hugs.

    Joy

    • Isn’t our weather something?! It’s such a novelty out here! And you’re a step ahead of me… everything remains. Then again, I only finished a few days ago… haha!

Thanks so much for always joining in this party Joy! Eye spy some pretty decadent signs… off to go read! Happy New Year neighbour!

  2. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, Donna! I hope the new year finds everyone in your family well. Yours was one of the first blogs I ever followed and you are still a favorite. I love how accessible you are! What other blogger would send me pictures of Japanese fish floats from Hawaii??!! And, you know where that little red stool goes if you ever sell it! LOL

Thanks again for a fun year of blogs!
    Love
    Laura
