Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 425
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
So… this past week in Funky Junk land got some attention outside. I’m attempting to save my lawn vs. start all over so I’ll share what I’m doing soon. I’m also getting some new soil hauled in for the front flowerbeds next week so there will be some fun updates to share soon!
I also officially launched the stencil wholesale program which I haven’t even officially blogged about yet. I had to change stores due my current Big Cartel store not offering a way to offer wholesale. But all for a reason. This new Shopify store runs better, showcases more photos and takes payments more flawlessly too! More about that soon too.
Life just seems to happen too fast for blog posts lately! So if you’re on Instagram, do watch my daily Insta Stories (the round circle things along the top of your screen) from your phones. Follow my account, then remember to stop by now and then to see what’s new.
I however did slip in a fun DIY that was all about vacation (which is something I really need soon…) with a dash of junk.
Old window vacation directional signs by Funky Junk Interiors
This directional sign take utilizes stencils and an old window to frame the works. Fun and easy!
But apparently so fun, I made a 2nd version shown in the post! Which way do you prefer?
Doorknob toolbox lid shelf by Lora B
This little shelf is low on difficulty, and high on junk personality! Brilliant use of old school door knobs, don’t you think?
Stamped herb spoons garden markers by Adirondack Girl At Heart
If you also have long admired the glam look of stamped spoons for plant markers, this is your tutorial. Wouldn’t they make an amazing garden-themed wind chime?!
Cat tree rustic crate cubby by Stow and Tell U
Let’s face it. Cat trees are not exactly gorgeous. However I have renewed hope in our own frayed wonder, after seeing this idea for a crate base! With themed printable transfers… so genius!
Scrap wood hand painted directional vacation signs by Homeward Found
LOVE the directional sign look, however this set is super enticing being hand painted plus made with cheap scrap wood!
Giiirrrllll… your hand lettering is amazing.
Grain sack striped chair and basket by Organized Clutter
Anything can now turn quaint vintage instantly, thanks to these grain sack striped stencils as shown on a cute chair and charming basket. Adore the off-white / red / black combo!
Click to the post for full stencil details.
Painted rock faux cactus by Little Vintage Cottage
Oh my goodness… those cactuses are too adorable. And would never ever die either. Two wins in one post!
Farmhouse styled old family recipe kitchen wall art by Walking On Sunshine
This project is testimony that some old recipe cards, just like pictures, need to see the light of day again. Sweet memories with delicious food enticements combined!
Private Beach rustic summer tray by Homeroad
This cute little tray is so all about the beach! Love the chalky finish that screams sun bleached! Perfectly executed. Stencil details inside post.
Tuna can junk wind chimes by Crafty Hope
Tuna cans have never looked nor sounded so good I’d bet! Isn’t this just the funkiest take?!
What have you made this past week? Link up below!
~ Blah blah linkup rules ~
1. Upcycled, DIY home decor projects only please. Items for sale must be in tutorial form on your blog. NO FOOD NOR NEW CRAFTS please.
2. Linkups must be your own work, not another’s.
3. Only projects new to this link party please. Repeats are welcome in secondary themed linkups only.
4. By linking up here, you’re cool with me featuring you on my blog, Pinterest, Twitter, FJI Facebook with a link back to you, or its own new LINK WIDGET with no additional permission required.
5. No need to link back! Pinning the first image instead would be very appreciated. Thank you! : )
Thank you Donna for adding more stencils to your ‘line’. Just added Open/Closed and Grain Sack Stripes to my own collection (and yes, tried them out right away).
This week I added Paris/Bee/Laurel Wreath to a re-cycled and thrifted board that had a ‘family name’ welcome with small chicks painted in the corner. Painted over and added the stencil = fresh sign.
Thanks too Donna for your 425th DIY Salvaged Junk Projects. Love your window/with individual board/signs, great combination.
Joy

Thanks Donna for featuring my grain sack stripe projects! I enjoy creating with your stencils every day!
Thanks for featuring my Toolbox Top, Donna! And so glad you got your shop figured out; lot of behind the scenes work there, I’m sure! Have a great weekend!
Thank you so much for featuring my cactus rock planter Donna! And thank you for hosting, this is one of my favorite parties!
Tania
Little Vintage Cottage
I’m walking away from your party with lots of inspiration and pins. Thanks for hosting, Donna and have a great weekend! Here in Alberta, we went from winter to full-on summer in less than a week, craziness.
Enjoyed the party as always!
I especially like the recipe wall art idea…I’ve often felt I needed to show off some of my mom’s past recipes. Your old window with signs was a hit too. And my preferred showcase because it was different. Thanks continuing to host the party.
Thanks so much for the feature, Donna–a fun surprise 🙂 Hope the rest of your weekend is great!
Thank you so much for featuring my recipe card project. It is filled with so many beautiful memories of my grandmother and her cooking. 🙂
Thanks so much for featuring our cat crate. All of your crate projects have definitely been an inspiration on this one. I can only imagine how cool your stencils would look on one off these. Congrats on the new stencil shop. Sounds like it’s going to do a lot more for you!
OHMYGOSH! I’m running behind on my blog-reading after being out of town for a few days and am just now seeing that my windchimes were featured. Gracious! Thank you so much! What a fabulous surprise to find after being away. I’m blushing!
