Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 481
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Happy happy weekend!
I’ve been a little stuck on what to make DIY wise lately when I realized my holdup was my HOUSE. I was tripping over too much stuff, shuffling from one end to the other. So I put the tools down and started to clean.
And boy did I! I listed a bunch of stuff on my FB bidding site and on it goes. Now I’m on a tangent once again to get rid of stuff and it feels SO good. I may get to finishing my laundry room yet!
In fact, I even wrote a post HERE about how I felt about letting go of my most prized possession in the world. If you find it hard to relinquish memory pieces, this story is for you and shares a new way to look at it to make the process easier.
Mug hanging stenciled Fresh Coffee sign by Funky Junk Interiors
In other news, I finally ditched a winter theme and got all-season in my kitchen. My pretty new Fresh Coffee sign is up, loud and proud and it couldn’t have been easier! Thank goodness for hoarding fence planks!
Back to you… you bring me back to earth, guys. It’s nice to get out of my own world and into yours for a spell and building these party posts does just that.
Here’s some amazing highlights you brought over during last weekend’s party…
Herb planter with trellis by Homeroad
This Herb planter is adorable in itself… however the added trellis really takes this project over the top! So unique and the perfect place for secondary messages! Full stencil details are included in this post.
Repurposed showcase table by The Boondocks Blog
A cool display case you say? Not even close! This piece was a complete puzzle of different pieces that came together like magic!
Dollhouse living room furniture by Little Vintage Cottage
This wonderful little living room is waiting to be filled with dolls and giggles… love all the tiny details! This makes me want to build another dollhouse again.
Lego picture frame with message by Pillar Box Blue
A unique take on a picture frame with a message… I love how the little men are put to work hoisting up the sign.
Vintage spice tin succulent planters by Fresh Vintage By Lisa S
My heart did a lurch when my eyes landed on these succulent planter tins… this look is HOT in Maui which I’ll be visiting next week… but they use Spam tins! 😀
I think I need some succulent vintage tin planters myself…
Rustic garden sign with pansy bucket planters by Organized Clutter
Gah. Doesn’t this little garden junk scene look so perfectly implemented? The garden sign has such weathered appeal and is the perfect addition! Full stencil details are inside this post.

Thank you for featuring my Lego picture frame. I hope you have a lovely holiday next week, I wish I was going to Hawaii ?
Donna I too really struggle with letting stuff go. It seems as if everything is a prized possession. Thanks so much for the feature and for hosting each week. Enjoy your weekend.
Hi Donna,
As my vacation comes to an end you will be starting yours next week. Have a great time in Hawaii!
Great idea planting succulents in the spice tins. I already have them in my stash and perfect place for them in the kitchen.
Thank you for your posting this week.
Would you believe here in Alberta I’ve had the furnace on all week – it’s June, right? But I shouldn’t complain because the rain helped the forest fires. Great features again this week! I might have to steal Susan’s herb garden idea for my deck. Have a great weekend, Donna and happy trails 🙂
Thank you for featuring my dollhouse again! I feel like I have a little mini-series going on your blog! :o)
