Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 485

Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific

Hi all, and a happy upcoming weekend to ya!

Well, according to the post feedback HERE on whether we should continue these parties or not, once again I was met with an astounding ‘yes, we love them!’ and ‘don’t change a thing!’

Maybe that’s why I love antiques so much… because some tried-and-true things just work in today’s world! So I’m happy to bring you another wonderful post filled with up-cycled inspiration to get your own creativity into high-gear!

To keep the interest high in this party, here’s some tips to keep it the best it can be…

Party tips you can do:

Share the top picture of this post on Pinterest or Facebook.

The #1 reason I create a round-up picture at the top of this post is so it’s easily shared, bringing new eyes to the party link-ups! Thanks for your shares, they really do help!

.

Give the project links or pictures a click / visit.

If you see something you like, please click the link in their feature, or click the pictures inside the link-up widget as a ‘thanks, that’s super cool!’ Bloggers get compensated with visits.

And be sure to pin and share their work direct from their own blogs too! If you click THIS button, you can also repin highlights from the party.

.

Comment about your project

Did you link up this week? Why not comment to tell us a little about your project, with the # you linked up as to help inspire added visits?

A story is so captivating! It’s much like reading a magazine word for word. You notice more things in the pictures if you do!

Why did you make what you did? What surprised you most? Try it out and see!

.

How to link up

Linking up to this up-cycled projects link party is easy!

  • Copy your blog post tutorial link.
  • Click the blue button at the end of this post.
  • Paste your link, then add the other criteria it asks.

Boom! You’re in!

But you don’t have to be a blogger to join in! You may also share your projects here that are posted on your social media. For Facebook, right click/copy the ‘time’ you posted to generate the direct project link.

So, since coming back from my vacation, I still haven’t really made anything new, but I have cleaned up a ton to get me triggered in the right direction! Does anyone else like nesting first, then getting into it?

journal writing

I did write a post though on something I ask myself before each day ends though… it’s been helpful keeping me in check if I’m spending my days to make the most of them, no matter what you do or don’t get done.

If you tend to float some days wondering what that was all about, I encourage you to READ THIS POST and implement this question into your day.

So while I (likely) clean yet another thing today, I’m pushing for a miracle and make something cool over the weekend like you guys are cranking out!

Here’s a fine collection of highlights from last week’s party from you guys…

Carlene had me at those decadent grain sack designs (um… hello reproduction vintage!) however add them to a vintage window screen with hooks takes this little project over the edge of goodness! I love a pretty and productive project and this one does it.

I have always adored the rugged texture of weathered denim so it’s no surprise that I fell hard for these denim covered picture frames. Aren’t they the coolest?! Click for the full tutorial.
