Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 490
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Happy weekend everyone! And just maybe, the last weekend of summer…
Summer finished quick, didn’t it? Yes it did. Yesterday we had screaming hot weather, and today I needed a blanket. Just maybe we’ll squeak in a couple more warm days…
This past week I shared a super cool industrial treatment to a standard shelving unit!
Industrial crate shelves by Funky Junk Interiors
My son required some extra shelving in his closet in a pinch! So I pulled a beat up shelf out of my garage and instantly revamped it into this now industrial cutie in a matter of a couple of quick hours!
In other fun news, I head over to my sister’s place in Hope, BC Canada (read about past visits HERE) for a night and we had this epic bike ride down the Othello Tunnels mountain trail, and went junkin’!
I also have another SUPER exciting project to share next week so stay tuned!

As for you, thanks again for bringing over your beautiful projects last week! Here’s a peek at a few highlights from last weekend’s party…
If you are a feather collector, this is such a lovely way to display! If you aren’t, you may want to be now! Isn’t this gorgeous? Love the black/brown/white vibe!
Guitar shelf by Little Vintage Cottage
Can you even believe I bypassed a curbside-found guitar? That’s because I didn’t see THIS idea! Love the unexpected shape!
Halloween bottles by Unique Creations By Anita
You absolutely have to click over to see how these bottles were made. The tricky means to achieving those details is just outstanding! And I’m totally smitten over the zipper / gear one! Which one is your fav?
Rustic lake house tray by Homeroad
The cutest tray in the land gets an instant rustic lake theme vibe. Love the clever placement to get in the full message!
Denim flower bouquet by Pillar Box Blue
The denim-repurposing queen strikes again with another home run! Aren’t these lovely? And wouldn’t they be perfect outfitted on a denim pillow cover too?!
Christmas tree inspired vintage chair makeover by Organized Clutter
Stop right there… I can barely stand how adorable this chair turned out! ADORE the messages on the backrest.. and that colour! Full stencil details inside this post.
Repurposed vintage book picture frames by Sadie Seasongoods
If you have a few vintage books that are collecting dust, here’s how to have them collecting vintage prints instead! Beautiful! And love them with the old-time camera too!
Oh… and be sure to check out Sadie’s incredible news in this post too! WOW! Congrats and long overdue, girl!

Donna,
Love the Halloween bottles. Might give it a try as I have everything on hand, Zipper one my favorite.
Thank you so much for the feature Donna. Have a great weekend.
Unfortunately, it’s been feeling like Fall here in Alberta almost all summer long. The leaves are already turning and we have our furnace on this weekend. Happy trails this long weekend 🙂
Thanks for featuring my Rolling Pin Bakery display last week, Donna! Think I missed a week of my life; getting kiddos back to college is kicking my butt! Thanks always for hosting! Have a great weekend!
Thanks for featuring my little green chair! Many of your stencils are so versatile.
Thank you for hosting and for the feature on my Mixed media Halloween bottles
