Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 517
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Hello all!
This past week, I started cleaning again, and yes, I made a little headway as well as head down memory lane when I dug through a dresser HERE. While the memories slowed me down, they also made me smile. I love how things from the past can contour up such great feelings! Especially while cleaning…

I also had an exciting launch this week, sharing 5 new stencils… and I made this with some of them!
But you don’t have to be a biker to appreciate all the different looks these can take on… click the post to read all about them!
.
This past week, I also went on a rather exciting new train ride to Vancouver, BC, approx 1.5 hours east of where I live. It was for an appointment, but I also toured the streets of Gastown and other hot spots. It was a day I needed… and made me want more.
I really miss traveling but I’m so uncertain if this is the year to stay or run as fast as I can with everything that is going on in the world at the moment. Where do you stand on all that?
And just to further taunt me, as I’m tying this post, some ads for the area I was searching up came up through VRBO. How dare they… LOL I don’t think I can stay put guys… I just don’t.
So while I play round with travel ideas, let’s take a peek at some lovely highlights from last week’s party…
This week’s features

When Bliss decided on a room revamp, she doesn’t mess around. Look at that wall mural full of antique letters! And that chair!

And then the perfect little project for spring comes up on my screen. This adorable strainer next on a chunk of picket fence is perfection. Click the blog post link for all the details.
While I have winter on my mantel still, Lora brings over this beautiful spring mantel, inspired by another’s. Great idea! I think I’ll be inspired by this one to start my own! Visit this beautiful post and see what inspired her! LOVE how that gorgeous mirror anchors the brick…

Thanks for featuring my Spring Mantel, Donna! It’s definitely getting me in the Spring mood, and luckily the snow is melting here; yay, an early Spring! Your bike stencil is adorable; can’t wait to see the great projects that will come out of that one:)

When I saw your new bike stencil I literally gasped out loud! I love the rack you made, I can see it right now at my house.

okay, Lora B has inspired me with her stylish black mirror!
i have a large round one in our entry hallway that is currently in a frame with a VERY outdated whitewash finish. i can’t stand it… i’ve toyed with the idea of painting it, i just didn’t know what color to go with. now i do!
this is why i love this party so much… everyone who contributes has such inspiring ideas!!! ~ deb
I love it!!!
Thank you for hosting the party!
Thank you for the feature. The new stencils are awesome, and as far as my talents, well I’m only as good as the company I keep – and they are a pretty talented bunch such as yourself.
Donna thank you so much for the beautiful share this week???
