Welcome to DIY Salvaged Junk Projects 533
.
Every Friday, 7 PM through Wednesday 11 PM Pacific
Hi all!
Well! I’m rather pleased with myself! This past week I tackled some hard stuff that pretty much pulled everything out of me, plus. Removing ivy vines off the side of your house is no small feat. But I braved a VERY tall ladder and went for it. And needed 2 days to recoup….
I honestly can’t seem to get beyond one project post a week and this party post. It’s like everything I work on these days takes DAAAAYYYYSSSS. Can you relate?! How many posts are you getting out a week these days?
But that’s ok… because it led to a neat new project that was also LONG overdue, and it’s all about a garden shed I haven’t finished but did start last summer…
Easy rustic garden-themed shed gate by Funky Junk Interiors
I have always wished a section of fence was a gate instead. It’s been a pain walking around the entire house for the odd garden tool or 2. So I punched out the panels and this simple garden-themed frame did the trick!
Visit the post to see the two different sides, and what the back of the shed is temporarily decorated with as well! Oh. And I share the before but it’s too ugly to show here. LOL
Anyway, I’m so pleased with the results, inspiring me to keep hacking away at that project. More to come!
Thanks to your own projects you brought over last week, here’s some other super creative ideas to help inspire your week ahead…

Metal chair magnetic board by Homeward Found

That’s how I envision this creative genius with her unique ideas! They. Never. STOP. Doesn’t this design remind you of It’s A Small World at Disney?! The link shares all the delightful details on this one!

Heading over to check out your gate next. We promised to build a gate for my father-in-law so this is very timely. Thanks so much for the patriotic-mini-pallet love, Donna!xo Have a great weekend 🙂
(hey, wait a minute…. have you been watching me make toast, Donna?!! LOL!)
i love how you picked up on the ‘Small World’ artwork similarity…. that’s exactly what drew me to these stickers at first glance! (you know what a Disney fan i am, especially since my grandpa helped to build It’s A Small World at Disneyland). thank you so much for including my WAY-too-easy project in your feature this week!
Donna,
Love the denim flowers and also the hydrangea flowers.. Just might have to try both.
Right now trying to figure out how to redo a 60’s front door that has the gold diamond shaped glass in it. I do not want to replace the door or the glass. Any suggestions? You are so clever!
I love it!
Thanks for hosting! Xoxo from Holand
